As the sun rises on yet another beautiful day in Helena, Guaranteed Muffler will be permanently closing as the sun sets this evening. We would like to take a moment to personally thank the Helena Community for allowing us to serve you. Unfortunately times have gotten tough, and we can no longer do so.
As it opened in the 1960’s the little Texaco gas station on the corner of 11th Avenue in Helena Montana had a bright future.After Texaco had finished using the space, the once gas station was converted into a muffler shop in the 1980’s. Guaranteed Muffler and Pro Brake served the community for 40 years. The business changed hands several times over the years, but the quality of work was really what brought attention to it in the last couple years. Excellence. The only word to describe the exhaust systems produced from this little shop. Among the other services they offered, their exhaust was one of the most beautiful creations I’ve ever seen. As the last couple of years have been extremely difficult on this small business, it is finally closing its doors to the public. This is a loss not only to the employees, but the community as well. The times have changed, and exhaust has taken a different direction. As one would fear, the classic and muscle car scene is disappearing among the younger generation. Unfortunately exhaust is a dying art, preformed by a dying breed, with the artistic capability and imagination to do such.
