LML Duramax in the diesel shop getting that EGR replaced.

Of course, the damn bolts decided they weren’t coming out without a fight. 😂

That’s alright… we didn’t come this far to quit now. Time to put some Outlaw persuasion on ’em. 😈🔥

2009 Dodge Cummins 6.7 🔥😮‍💨

Getting that A/C system working again, and this old girl is almost at the 400K mile club! 💪

Still doing pretty damn good, too—pulling the interior temps down to around 50° with it being 94° outside + that good ol’ Virginia humidity! 🥵🧊❄️

400K and still working!

2003 6.0L F-250 Powerstroke

Another 6.0 throwing a fit! 🤘🏼

These early ’03–’04 high-pressure oil pumps are notorious for becoming a weak link and causing a cold no-start.

This one? Only building 160 PSI of HPOP pressure while cranking. 😳

Yeah… that ain’t gonna fire!

NOTE: 8 out of 10 times, the HPOP is the culprit on these early trucks unless the injectors have recently been replaced.

We found the problem, now it’s time to get this old 6.0 back in the fight.

No rules. Just results.

2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel with 100K miles came in with a noise coming from the rear of the truck.

After digging into it, we found one of the rear differential bearings was the culprit. The fluid wasn’t terrible, and there were no signs of an abnormal wear pattern or issues with the ring and pinion mesh.

The rear end was completely disassembled, inspected, and rebuilt with all new bearings/ seals
to get this truck back on the road and running quiet again. 🔧

Sometimes it’s not a major failure just one defective bearing making a whole lot of noise!

2008 Duramax LMM came in with a little problem

it just wasn’t getting HOT! 🥶😂

Engine temps were only reaching around 110°F, which is nowhere near where this Duramax should be running.

After checking it out, the thermostats are suspected to be stuck open, preventing the engine from building and maintaining proper operating temperature.

We’re getting this one squared away with Mishimoto thermostats and a new stainless-steel coolant return pipe to get the cooling system back where it needs to be. 🔧💪🏼

Another one getting dialed in! 🤘🏼

This one’s for a good friend, so you know we’re going to do it right!

The goal for this build is simple —
reliable, dependable, and ready to work. Built for towing, built for the street, and built to put some miles down without constantly being on the side of the road.

Stay tuned for the progress on this one. We’re just getting started! 🇺🇸

Monday’s are an awesome day to break bolts… especially when they’re a PITA to get to!

Here we have a 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel 3.0L getting some much-needed EGR repairs.

Of course, the bolts decided they didn’t want to cooperate, making an already tight job even more fun 🤣

Just another day at Outlaw Diesel — no rules, just results.

2017 Ford F-350 6.7 Power Stroke came in with an exhaust leak at the EGR crossover.

These factory bolts are well known for breaking due to the material they’re made from. As expected… they snapped during removal.

For this repair, I chose to install TIME-SERT inserts to restore the threads. ProMAXX also makes a repair kit for this issue that takes human error out of the equation, but I personally prefer using TIME-SERTS. It’s the repair method I’ve had great success with and trust for long lasting results.

At Outlaw Diesel, it’s all about repairing it right the first time and getting you back on the road with confidence. 🇺🇸🔧
