This is the shift k**b that made us fall in love with American Elm 🌳 . The color, grain details, and imperfections make it a stunning addition to any interior. This one was built for an M edition Miata with a custom engraved top inlay in exchange for the standard wood-engraved shift pattern option. Polished stainless steel - good times.

Did we mention it’s weighted? That stainless is the entire core, so you get 220-250gs of bibration dampening.

Just finished making this matching setup for an International Harvester Scout. Chunky 2” Aluminum with engraved Black Walnut inlays.

Hand machined from Solid 6061 Aluminum stock. They are going to be a statement piece in the interior for sure 😎

Apologies as I swear my camera no longer wants to focus. 🙃 That aside, we love the way this custom shift k**b came out!

It’s a heavy hitter in the weight department, dazzling in the light, and is sure to grab attention with the burnt stainless insert.

Here is the shift k**b from our last post finished up. Black Walnut Ebonized to give it the dark finish you see here. Stainless steel base, with a mahogany inlay between the brass center and stainless trim ring. Finished in a dark purple leather wrap for optimal grip and feel.

It’s even weighted to smooth out the shifts.

This was built for a 2026 Nissan Z in Midnight purple, and we think we hit the mark bringing craftsmanship and taste to a new set of wheels.

A few in-process pictures of a k**b for a customer’s ‘26 Midnight Purple z. This one has a stainless steel base, black walnut body, Mahogany intermediate inlay- as well as a stainless and brass insert. The groove is cut on the grip for the leather wrap.

American Elm is less common in automotive interiors, but it sure is catchy to the eye! Especially paired with Polished stainless steel and weighted to perfection at 220g 👌

It seems to be the general assumption when I tell people that I make car parts - 3d printers are handy tools, and don’t get me wrong - they have their use, but I’m not manufacturing most of my wares in plastic 😂

Solid aluminum and an old school “Toyoda” logo engraven in brass - a perfect touch to bring that Vintage Yoda to life.

This is actually one of those shift k**bs made here a few months ago that never got posted. We take lumber salvaged from pre/early 1900s buildings in Baltimore and use them to make some pieces with quality and methods that are about as old. Something about turning a piece of solid brass on a lathe from 1945 and mating it to wood that was harvested nearly half a century earlier just puts things in perspective. A deep oil rub seems like the only proper way to finish it off.

At 250g, it will add to your car interior in a way that a modern mass-production piece simply can’t.
