The Laprel Family is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2021 Robert C. Laprel Memorial Scholarships at Haverhill High School. They are: Mackenzie Murphy, Megan McAuliffe and Shea Robertson. All three recent graduates were Haverhill High School athletes who are moving onto a four year college. Please join us in congratulating these young individuals as they get ready to move on to the next big phase of their lives!

The Robert C. Laprel Memorial Scholarships were established in 2011 in memory of Bob Laprel (HHS '69), a retired Major with the Massachusetts State Police and founder and first co-president of the New England Crisis Negotiators Association, who passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack at age 59 in December 2010. Since education, physical fitness and being involved in the community were three of his passions, these scholarships represent what he stood for and how his family celebrates his memory.

Rise and Shine Everyone! Today would have been race day so get out there and do something in Dad/Bob's memory. Don't forget to use the hashtag

Us kids thought of the Top 10 Things he would have been doing today:

1) Exercise - He loved running, walking, biking, golf
2) Grab a Coffee - The man loved visiting Dunkin Donuts
3) Read the Paper - He loved his Sunday Paper and news
4) Listen to Some Music - His favorites were Oldies and Irish
5) Take A Drive - Dad loved exploring back roads
6) Church - Maybe difficult to do now, but he had a strong faith
7) Buy A Scratch Ticket - It brought a smile to our Mom's face
8) Watch Sports - Didn't matter what sport
9) Yard Work - He loved to brag about his leaf bag count
10) Be With Family - He loved having family/friends around him.

Enjoy the day!
