Sometimes vehicles get totaled and it is a wise point to let them go get recycled and sometimes it is hard to let a vehicle go either because the owners don't want to have to go get a loan or the vehicles have been kept so well it is hard to let them go. This 2005 Buick was the case recently the car is just still in such good shape it is hard to retire it. Most of these old Buicks have faced the rust issues that puts them in the category of time to let them go but not this one. The old 3.8L were a very well built engine that could carry the cars for well over 200K usually pretty easy but the bodies usually rusted away. This one while it is showing some signs of under body rust scale starting it is no way near that point and with just over 100K on it it has a lot of life left in it. Thankfully we were able to work with numerous local salvage yards and the damage was basically only cosmetic that we were able to save this car even though the insurance totaled it but the vehicle owner retained ownership. Normally a bigger production shop wouldn't touch this but being a smaller shop it sometimes allows us that to think outside the box and save a customer from having to go dip into savings or take out a loan to replace their mode of transportation. Not all situations work out this well but we will try our best to help you look for options. Happy to see another vehicle saved.
