Generations Behind the Wheel!
Jennifer acquired her 1966 Mustang during her high school senior year in 1994. Working with whatever funds she could scrape together, she and her father, Chuck, completed an initial partial restoration that swapped the original inline-six for a hand-built 302 V8. After sitting neglected in the weeds for over two decades starting in 2001, the car was rescued in 2023 for a complete ground-up restoration alongside her dad and uncle John.
Targeting her 50th birthday as the deadline, the family spent months overhauling everything from new wiring harnesses and disc brakes to an aluminum-headed V8 built by Chuck. Jennifer rolled up her sleeves throughout the process, mastering bodywork, electrical wiring, and sheet metal alignment.
While the finished Mustang stands as a beautiful showcase of craftsmanship, the priceless memories created during the build mean even more to the family. Having preserved this piece of automotive history together, Jennifer looks forward to passing the keys to her niece and nephew when the time comes.
