It's been awhile since our last post, but we're still here! We've been hard at work and what a busy last 3 weeks it's been. We had one of our busiest weeks followed directly by the Silver Dollar Nationals at the Speedway here in town. We worked at this awesome event which had us closed for 3 days, but it was extremely nice getting to be out with the community during the racing action. The following week was hammering out some work on some medium duty trucks for a local business and our hometown Fire Department!

It was extremely cool getting one of the fire trucks in here and being able to get some quick work done on it before getting it back in action!

Some quick glances of two very cool vehicles that we have had the opportunity to work on!

#1 - Mike's AMC Rambler

This car will grab your attention with its massive 15 inch wide rear tire. Powered by a small block Chevy and turbo 350 transmission this car is set up to be a perfect blend of street and strip!

Mike brought this awesome car in for a quick and simple exhaust and some front end work!

#2 - Anthony's 1948 Willy's Jeep

This American classic is getting a new lease on life with a ground up rebuild. Starting with frame modifications to hold in a Chevrolet 4.3L and turbo 350 transmission. The owners current plan is to have the power plant be receiving fuel through a Holley EFI system! Next the power plant and body will receive all new wiring from front to back!

We're excited to have this as one of our first full ground-up builds to pass through the shop!

*⚠️Long Post Warning⚠️*

We had a great turn out at our car show on the 19th, and it was a beautiful day for it! We couldn't have asked for better weather or people! It was great talking to everyone and getting to see all the vehicles brought out! From classic restored vehicles, modern muscle, and fully customized rides, it was fun having it all in our parking lot! Thank you to everyone who made it and stay tuned for more!

That being said it's also time to show a little of what we've had going on ourselves for the last few months. We've had the honor of working on some extremely cool projects and we are getting more scheduled!

Down below you will find pictures of a beautiful '55 Chevy and '69 Nova both owned by Lloyd Allen decked out in a pro-street format!

We are no strangers to the '55 as we've had it in the shop before for mounting the massive set of 18.5" wide rear tires and installing a set of coil-overs in the rear to give it a mean stance and great ride! This time around its 502 big block got a fuel system overhaul, utilizing a Holley Sniper EFI kit we were able to wake up the big block and give it the performance and reliability this awesome show boat needed!

The '69 Nova just arrived in the shop late last week and we are going to be helping dial on the new rowdy small block this monster has. This beautiful car has been to some of our past car shows we hosted at the BuckSnort in town and always draws attention!

We also have got to work on a beautiful 73 Plymouth Satellite Sebring owned by Kenny Stein. This car came in for a universal A/C system that will allow him to travel in style and comfort when he isn't out in the fields!

Last of this long post will be an amazing work in progress '79 K20 owned by Jeff Schmitz. This came in with an outdated EFI system that just wasn't able to keep up with the modified small block this truck has powering it. It received a Holley Sniper EFI and a little tuning which got it back on the road and ready for his boys to cruise in!

A massive thank you to everyone who has brought their vehicles in to us and let us work on them! We are continuing to grow our business and are here to help with whatever project you can throw our way!

It was an amazing day for a car show! We could not have been happier with the turn out and got to meet some amazing people and look at some great cars today!

Here at Schmidt Motor Workx we have been considering a couple new services for the community, but we want your feedback on if this would be something you are all interested in, before we commit the money in equipment. We want to become your one stop shop for vehicles, both daily driven and performance, as well as your equipment as we do understand this is still very much a farming community.

Our first one would be bed liner and undercoating application. Bed lining would be any application of bed liner whether it's to protect your truck's bed surface, applying to the lower part of your vehicle to protect that portion against salt and grime, or wanting to do an entire vehicle, trailer, or equipment. With this we would be using Raptor Liner and it would be available in a variety of colors or we could dye it to any color you want. The undercoating (Such as Fluid Film, Wax Oyl, or Wool Wax for example) is what you see done at a lot of dealerships to help protect against salt, it applies a thin coat of wax to the undercarriage of vehicles that usually lasts between 2-3 years before needing reapplied and will help keep rust at bay.

The second would be trailer modification and repair. This is a service we already offer for the most part but would include modifying trailer ramps and decks, repairing deck surfaces, painting trailers, full axle or suspension replacement, and doing full rewiring.

The last is equipment repair and modification. This applies to equipment along the lines of skid steers, tractors, loaders, ect. This would mainly apply to the repair and maintenance category for these kinds of equipment.
