Some much needed fabrication on Michael's 77 Nova.

The cancer in the trunk forced us to almost completely cut it all out. Then had to fab additional braces for the fuel tank (also stiffened up the rear frame). Then do our own rolls on the trunk floor.

Replaced all the body mounts and rear leaf springs to get it to sit at the correct height and not sway like a cruise ship.

Core supports were more interesting; as we had to pull it, recreate much of the the lower portions, and use LMC Truck mounts off late 70s Chevys to create the base for the new bushing mounts.

Installed adjustable buckets out of a junk yard Acura. Shaved a little out of the driver butt foam to get just the right feel. 80grit on the belt sander made quick work of it. Super comfortable and way better than the 1970s pontoon boat seats.

Includes Crager hubcap cup holders (I hear that's a $100 factory option these days).

Pressure washed and 2 cycles in the wife's washer did amazing. And didn't make her too mad.

Ah... the always entertaining Holley carb rebuild. Fun to see how the previous owners found ways to mess it up.

This one, for example, was bolted into a stripped out manifold stud hole with a gigantic 5/8 fl**ge bolt.... not to mention the bigger hole drilled through the carb base plate. Not mentioning the crooked studs on the other side.

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
