One of the coolest things about working here is seeing who and what pulls up on the daily. Volkswagen owners are usually pretty friendly and running into Dwayne was no exception. His beloved High Top bus was his moms who was a full on Hippie back in the day. Since acquiring it he has done all the work on it himself including the awesome hand painted exterior. I would tag him but he doesn't concern himself with social media. Sounds like the son of a hippie to me. ✌️

If you haven't heard of Ralph and RMD Garage you should check them out. They build some amazing custom rides. This video showcases a split window panel bus they did for their client. In fact they just launched a TV show and RMD Garage reached out to West Coast Metric Inc. to obtain some quality parts required for their 1967 Bug project. Not sure on when the episode will air, but could be as soon as next week on 8/16. Keep an eye on the Velocity channel on Wednesday nights to catch it...

Big shout out to Shin and the crew over at Hot VWs Magazine (Official) for featuring the West Coast Metric story in the September issue. It's been an awesome ride from beginning in our garage back in the day to shipping parts all around the globe. Thanks to all of you who have supported us in any way over the years. We just hit 40 this year, the pedal is down, and I don't forsee any slowin' in sight...
