This car and the 44 sat for years in Hancock at the bottom of the Hill before the Tidal Falls Rd on the East side road in Hancock. This was Dennis Moons father’s home. The cars sat there for years until the 44 was pulled out and restored for the Eastbrook parade in the 80’s. This car, baby blue was moved to the end of the Polmroy Rd in Hancock where Dennis and Sherry moved in the late 90’s. Dennis was the last to drive it and George Moon (Dennis Son) as most know is the current caretaker. If memory serves me correctly in the 90’s young Reggie Kane (Ricky) while working for my dad approached Dennis about making a mud skimmer out of it.

This is definitely a Maine Speedways car that is a bucket list for anyone to check out if they haven’t already. I asked George years ago before Dennis passed and they had no intention of selling it.

Ellsworth Raceway. Another of Larry Varney! Thanks to Charlie Sheehan for reminding me of this photo! I believe this came from the Frank Oaks collection. -Paige😊

When I was home in November I was given this fire truck to haul off. Dad’s been getting after it, parting it out and hauling what isn’t usable off for scrap. He’s done a heck of a job in a short time. His plan is to put a Petibone loader on it to load scrap. Thankfully my uncle Allan donated one to the cause. 80 years old and he’s still finding something to do… Love this guy. I tell him every day… Make sure you get up and do what you want to do. If you’re warm and happy, then it’s a good day. He chooses to bang away on this….

Gary McLaughlin’s #11 ready to head to Cherryfield Raceway! In August of 1971, Cherryfield Raceway shut its gates for good. During the 1971 season, the track only ran for about two months. Charles Tenan was the track manager at the time, and he said that there were a lack of cars and lack of spectators, that drove them to close the track. There was hope that someone with more money would come in and invest in the track, but it just never happened. Robert Whitten owned and operated the track from 1967-1971. The last 3 days have been nonstop. The 50th Annual Tulsa Swap Meet at Kellyville was crazy!! My 3rd year and my best year yet. It was busy nonstop and finally started winding down today around 3pm. It’s always great having Dad there to hang out with. A long profitable 3 days. Thanks Chad Cox and Mike Hollowell for making the 50tb year a great show. I’ve been stretched thin this week, but I can finally kick up my feet for a few days.

I’ve figured out today’s issue with hiring help…, We no longer require them to provide their own tools… It used to be a prerequisite to get hired… As a person of that generation we thought providing them with the tools they needed would help ensure an opportunity to earn an income without being strapped… Instead what we created are irresponsible people, that destroy the tools, lose the tools and don’t know how to use the F$@€% # tools… We took personal responsibility out of the workplace… So yes… this is GEN X’s fault…

Now you’ll understand why we are so mad about paying off their student loans… We create irresponsible people and expect them to be accountable and responsible.

Is anyone looking for a very late 1970-1/2 Camaro project car. Has rebuilt engine, solid rails and floor pans. It’s apart but best I know everything is the. 350-auto car. Was green with black vinyl top. Message me if you’re serious. Not interested in a bunch of picture collecting. It’s a good solid project owner gave up on.

Here’s a few Top 3 lists I put together.. feel free to comment .. This ought to be good 😂😂😂

Top 3 Worst car Buys I will never buy again

#1 55-56-57 Ford Thunderbirds. These cars are in the toilet. Unless it’s running driving and cheap, stay away.
#2 VINTAGE Internationals (except some Scouts)They seem rare, but nobody really wants them, that’s why when you find 1, you find 10
#3 AMC anything (bottom of the barrel investment) The nicest AMC out there isn’t worth buying. Ask me how I know.

Top 3 WORST buyers on marketplace

#1 Chevrolet (ultimate broke tire kicker if they actually show up ratio 1-10) There’s millions of these people who are broke window shoppers that will always offer 50% or less than advertised price

#2 International (You’ll always have the chance to buy one, but you’ll NEVER get rid of it) This is a rare truck and you get your hopes up when you find them in good shape. The owners will make you feel it’s valuable but have no interest in buying.

#3 AMC people. They know it’s rare, they will show up tell you it’s rare… Give you production stats, spend a lot of time telling you about their other weird collection obsessions, and then Lowbal you because you can only sell it to their niche group.

WORST GROUPS ON MARKETPLACE

#1 BOSS 302 forum… BAR NONE HANDS DOWN. Do not buy a Boss car and join this group.. Skip it, they will welcome you in, to bash your car, your snorkel and the family member you got it from. Oh and don’t call it a drag pack

#2 Pontiac Groups… They’re just @$$holes, they hate you, hate your car, hate that you even posted. If they can’t hate you enough, they will share it in other groups to hate you more. I do recommend posting though… it’s comical, just respond and block them like I do. The real enthusiasts will PM you with accurate information.

#3 International Groups… These Guys walk like the Rock and squeak when they talk. Their moderators take their job seriously.. Unless you know the special handshake, you’re not welcome. Dont use emojis in your post because you’re probably a Scammer 😂😂… What they don’t realize, is they were scammed by buying an international to begin with 🥴

Top 3 best people to sell to

#1 MOPAR…. If it’s Mopar it’s valuable to someone in the realm of Chrysler. They’re Weirdos, but they buy anything, new old junk or rusted and pay more than double most other manufacturers. They know their s**t usually. Whether then have PT Cruisers or Superbirds, they know every nut and bolt/history of their favorite car and WILL TELL YOU… But it’s worth it, pack a lunch… They Pay

#2 Ford… They pay fair, usually right around asking price. They’re often open to help advice or suggestions. Most know their model only but are always looking to improve it and know what fits what. They usually make a good fair offer near asking price.

#3 Pontiac. They’re usually a bunch of snobs but they pay. They expect it to be what you say it is, and they’re really not interested in anything else you have at all. They know their Ponchos and don’t care if the Mona Lisa is over your fireplace, if you’re not a poncho guy… They pay and leave…
