A rather long post, but in honor of Christmas, we present a Body Shop Christmas Story worth the read🫶🏼
'Twas the night before Christmas, and in the body shop,
The tools were all quiet, the welders did stop.
The cars were all nestled, awaiting repair,
In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.
The mechanics were nestled all snug in their beds,
With visions of wrenches and engines in their heads.
And I in my coveralls, with a tired, worn cap,
Had just settled down for a short winter's nap.
When out in the garage, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my cot to see what was the matter.
Away to the workshop, I flew like a flash,
Tore open the door and made a quick dash.
The fluorescent lights on the newly fixed cars,
Gave a luster of chrome to the tools near and far.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick.
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name.
"Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen,
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the paint booth, to the top of the wall,
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!"
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
Filling stockings with tools, then turned with a jerk.
And laying a finger aside of his nose,
With a nod and a wink, up the exhaust pipe he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
The next morning we found, in the shop's snowy lot,
Gifts for each worker, a Christmas jackpot.
Tools and gadgets and car parts galore,
Saint Nick had truly worked hard the night before.
And as we gathered 'round, with joy in our hearts,
We knew Christmas at the body shop was where memories start.
For in fixing cars and making them new,
We found the spirit of giving, the whole year through.
From our Family to yours, Merry Christmas from Eastside Collision!🎅🏼
