I have accepted a job offer and have decided to close the business as of December 31st 2023. Thanks to all of you that supported me for the last 5 years. There are several factors that influenced me to make this decision, one of them being simply the fact that I cannot provide good enough service to my customers to satisfy my expectations of the business. I have had, on average, a 20 person waiting list since 6 months in. I cannot handle that work load. I’ve been buried for 4 1/2 years and just can’t get to everybody. By the time I do everything involved with running the business in a day, I average 4-5 hours of actual shop time….that’s only 20-25 hours a week. Expanding the business into a larger building, adding more equipment, and trying to hire talented fabricators, is not a task that I am willing to take on. It’s simply too much for one man to do, I’ve wore my cape for 5 years and tried, but it’s simply just not a good plan. Also, if I were to stay in business for 2024, my health insurance is going to be $900/month, and it increases every year…again, not a good plan lol. I could have pushed on this year and continued, but after some health issues, I would have started the year with the waiting list backed up about 2 more months. So, I have decided to go back to having a “real job” again, which I think will be an easier life lol. I do plan to continue to do some work on the side, depending on my work schedule. Again, thank you for your support.
