For once, that’s actually good advice.

If foggy windows drive you crazy, here’s a simple trick you may not have heard of.

Got a lonely sock missing its partner? Give it a new job.

Fill an old sock with uncooked rice, tie it shut, and leave it in your vehicle. The rice can help absorb excess moisture that contributes to foggy windows.

🤯 5 WINDSHIELD HACKS MOST DRIVERS NEVER TRY

Think you know everything about windshield care? These unusual tricks might surprise you!

🥔 1. The Potato Trick
Some drivers rub a cut potato on a clean windshield before rain. The natural starch may help water bead up and roll away more easily.

☁️ 2. Shaving Cream for Fog
A small amount of shaving cream wiped onto the inside of the glass and buffed off completely may help reduce fog buildup.

☕ 3. Coffee Filters for Streak-Free Glass
Coffee filters are lint-free and can leave fewer streaks than paper towels when cleaning windows.

↔️ 4. The Two-Direction Method
Clean the inside of your windshield side-to-side and the outside up-and-down. You’ll instantly know which side a streak is on.

🧽 5. The Magic Eraser Method
Dampen a standard melamine sponge (Magic Eraser) slightly and wipe down the glass.

Follow up with a dry, clean microfiber cloth to buff out any residue and help prevent streaks.
