I cant believe we are here again with my personal 2009 R56 Mini Cooper S. Third engine-out! I bought it with 79k miles with a blown engine. Put a remanned one in in 2022. Remanned engine never ran right and it shot a rod out of the block after about 9k miles. 2025 I put a used engine in it. Drove the car 4 miles, yes, 4 perfect glorious miles, and parked it for the next day. The next day the transmission decided every gear would be neutral from now on! I really thought it was an electrical or pump issue going from fine to all neutrals, but dropping the pan revealed a lot of glitter.....

Now a low mile transmission is going in. I think this car is cursed! Maybe someone else will have better luck with it. I will probably put it up for sale once its back together and working.
