HAGERSTOWN TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Rose Hill Avenue
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, Rose Hill Avenue will be closed to through-traffic between First Street and Corbett Street while new utility services are installed on a property on Rose Hill Ave.
Drivers approaching the closure will be detoured via other City streets, and will encounter cones, barricades and other traffic control devices. The work is expected to be completed and the street reopened to traffic by 2 p.m.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Rose Hill Avenue

On Thursday, March 19th, a contractor will be installing new utility services to a property on Rose Hill Avenue. In order to perform the work, a temporary street closure will be required.

Therefore, beginning at 7:00 AM, Rose Hill Avenue will be closed to through-traffic between First Street and Corbett Street. Motorists approaching the closure will be detoured via other City streets, and will encounter cones, barricades, and other traffic control devices. It is anticipated that the work will be completed, and the street reopened to traffic by 2:00 PM.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this block of Rose Hill Avenue while the work is being performed but will be able to respond to service calls in that block.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: St. Patrick's Day Runfest
On Saturday, March 14, temporary street closures will be required in the north end of Hagerstown (see map) to accommodate the St. Patrick’s Day Runfest.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m., Potomac Street will be closed to traffic between Wayside Avenue and Franklin Street, and traffic on the side streets connecting to Potomac Street will be restricted. Also, southbound Oak Hill Avenue will be closed between Northern Avenue and Prospect Avenue.
Drivers approaching the closures will encounter cones, barricades and other traffic control devices, and are advised that the Auxiliary Police and other volunteers will be stationed at various intersections around the race route to direct traffic. Runners will be running in the streets with traffic.
The races are expected to be completed and streets reopened to traffic by 11 a.m.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 (weather permitting), Rose Hill Avenue will be closed to through-traffic between Wilson Boulevard and Third Street while a contractor uses a large crane to lift building materials onto a construction site.
Drivers approaching the work area will be required to detour around the closure via other City streets, and will encounter cones, barricades and other traffic control devices.
The work is expected to be completed and the street reopened to traffic by 3 p.m.

At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, Madison Avenue will be closed to through-traffic between Burhans Boulevard and West Washington Street while work crews from the Hagerstown Light Department work on their facilities along Madison Avenue.
Drivers approaching the work area will be required to detour around the closure via other City streets, and will encounter cones, barricades, and other traffic control devices.
The work on Tuesday is expected to be completed and the street reopened to traffic by 2 p.m. This same closure will be repeated on Wednesday, Feb, 25, between 9 a.m. and noon.

This same closure will be repeated on Wednesday, February 25th, between 9:00 AM and noon.
