Back from the Memorial Day long weekend? 🇺🇸 Hopefully, the only thing you brought back was good memories and not a new "clunk" in the engine!

🛞 Tires: Check the pressure and look for any wear and tear from those highway miles. Changes in temperature and long stretches of pavement can definitely affect your PSI.

💧 Fluids: Check your oil and coolant levels. Long drives in holiday traffic can sometimes lead to your car working a bit harder than usual.

We’ve all been there: playing "fuel gauge roulette" on the way home, hoping that little orange light is just a suggestion. But during these Maryland summers, running on empty is a trap you really want to avoid! ☀️⛽

Here’s the simple version: your fuel actually acts as a coolant for your fuel pump. When the tank gets low, that pump starts sucking in air and heat instead of cool gas. Toss in our 90-degree humidity, and you’re basically asking your fuel pump to work overtime in a sauna.

It’s a small habit, but keeping at least a quarter tank of gas can save you from a massive repair bill down the road. We love seeing our Hagerstown neighbors, but we’d much rather see you for a quick oil change than a preventable fuel pump swap! 🛠️
