We’re proud to continue our strong partnership with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the incredible work they’re doing through their automotive and diesel programs.

Today was a special reminder of why that partnership matters. One of our Toyota team members, Jolie, recently purchased a new vehicle and made the decision to donate her previous vehicle to the program instead of trading it in. 🚗

Her generosity gives students a valuable, hands-on opportunity to learn, grow, and build the skills they’ll use in their future careers!

We’re so thankful for team members like Jolie who believe in investing in the next generation and helping create real opportunities for students right here in our community. 👏

We love to attend events at Gulfport High School -Academic Institutes of Gulfport, where we were proud to be a presenting sponsor and continue our strong partnership with the school. We connected with both juniors and seniors as they prepare for their futures.

For the juniors, we participated in their Reality Fair, where we talked about career paths at J. Allen, highlighting our entry-level opportunities, hands-on training, and our commitment to promoting from within.

For the seniors, we joined their Rising Stars event, where students rotated through seminar sessions. Our CEO, Jonathan Allen, took part in the “Are You Ready?” panel, sharing his story and offering real-world advice on growth, handling challenges, adapting to change, and what life looks like after graduation.

And a highlight from the day, Jonathan even took a moment to teach a senior how to tie a tie so he’d be ready to impress in his mock interview. Moments like that are what it’s all about.

The students came prepared with thoughtful questions and showed a lot of interest in learning about their next steps, we loved seeing that level of engagement!

We had an incredible time and are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful experience. Looking forward to continuing to invest in the next generation! 👏

Today we had the opportunity to be part of the MS West Coast Showcase in Hancock County, connecting with students from Hancock High, Bay High, St. Stanislaus, Our Lady Academy, and Pass High.

We met with so many awesome juniors and had some great conversations about future careers in the automotive industry and we were proud to be the only automotive group there representing those opportunities!

Even better, we had several students show real interest in what a future in automotive could look like. That’s what it’s all about 👏

Excited to see where these conversations lead and to continue building the future of our industry! 🔧

We had a great morning connecting students from Picayune Memorial High School and Bay High School with opportunities at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for future careers at J. Allen!

These are students we first met at career fairs and dealership tours who are interested in working on diesel vehicles at our Ford location. To help them explore that path, we brought them to MGCCC to learn more about the Diesel & Heavy Equipment and Maritime Multi-Craft programs.

A big thank you to Ben, Lamont and Dawn for giving the students and their families an awesome tour and answering their questions about the program and enrollment.

The heavy equipment simulators were a huge hit, watching students (and even some parents!) try to drive a CAT machine and scoop gravel made for some fun moments! 😄

Skilled technicians are hard to come by, and investing in students like this helps build the future of our industry. We’re proud to support these future technicians and help create a pathway from the classroom to the shop floor. 🔧
