Iron Knight Brothers, My Name is Sonny Black, (aka Godfather). first of the year I was asked to take over the reins of the state Presidents position. My first goal is to simply get to know everyone better. See how our chapters are doing, and how we can promote interest in our great organization. As most of you know I was for many years President of our local Augusta chapter the GREAT LIGHTS. Hon, Brother Teddy Forbes now has taken that position. Everyone welcome to his new position. Locally we are trying to ride as a group to other lodges to visit as a group. I encourage our other chapters to do the same.
Chapter leaders please contact me via our email to discuss more in depth chapter businesses. Our page is open at this time for all to see. It is great to share and show our love of Masonry here but within our usual limits of course.

We are asking everyone to say a prayer for "Dark horse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and their families. They are fighting it out in Afghanistan & they have lost 12 marines in 4 days.
IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE the message spread if more people could pass it on.

Nothing has been in the media about these guys.

They are: Justin Allen, 23; Brett Linley, 29; Matthew Weikert, 29; Justus Bartett, 27; Dave Santos, 21; Chase Stanley, 21; Jesse Reed, 26; Matthew Johnson, 21; Zachary Fisher, 24; Brandon King, 23; Christopher Goeke, 23; SheldonTate, 27.

All are Marines that gave their lives for YOU this week. Please Honor THEM by forwarding this.

I am planning a ride on September 27th for a lodge member's wife who is having a lung transplant. Registration is from 12 to 2. Kickstands up at 2:15. Police es**rt. Riders are $25 and passengers $10. Includes meal for both. Fish fry. Fish, hushpuppies, cole slaw, fries and drink. We are selling tickets for the fish fry for $10 each. So if someone doesn't want to ride they can still come eat a good meal. Start and finish at Fergus Lodge in Loganville. Riders and passengers will eat after the ride. The fish fry is scheduled from 4 to 7 that night.

The upcoming Pistol Shoot is quickly approaching. I hope to see all of you there. We are still looking fo volunteers to help with supplies, set up, and registration.
