This Ford Focus Won't Quit

This road warrior is still running strong!

Despite some front end damage. This hatchback refuses to give up.

No leaks and a little rust. She keeps on keeping on.

Situations like this are delicate. It really just makes no sense to try to bring this vehicle back to perfect condition. Everyone has their own situation. So, taking that into consideration. Keep in mind we're setting the bar low, this focus is in decent condition.

We're almost to the finish line!

It's been a long journey to get to this point. Initial inspection of the fuel tank. Coated with flakes and rust.
Fuel pump assembly rebuild. Replacing all the fuel lines at the tank
First start up
Fuel leaks
Idle air issues

We kept pushing. We kept our cool

Now. I think we have everything buttoned up. Let's see how she runs

Paul dropped off his work truck, then headed off for a 5-day vacation in Colorado.

While he was gone, we knocked out his 80K diesel service and gave the truck a full interior and exterior reset.

Detailing is a service I offer, but don’t exactly advertise. So, let’s get into the details.

2005 Honda Civic Si

This is a good one!

Micah has always had good taste in cars. I know him from his Subaru projects, so when he brought this one in for a post-purchase inspection and service, I was a little surprised.

Not going to lie… I love this one.

It’s a classic Honda hot hatch that hasn’t been modified. Yet. I’ve been on a bit of a Honda kick lately, so this one fits right in.

He found this gem locally, and believe it or not… this was Grandma’s car.

That’s so cool.

She kept this Civic in incredible condition, and it really shows. The car checked out excellent and is in fantastic shape.

This is such a good find.

Garage 531 seal of approval.

A Peek Inside

This is the cylinder head of a 2006 Honda Civic with over 100,000 miles.

And honestly… it looks pretty good.

When maintenance is neglected, the inside of an engine can tell the story.

You’ll often see heavy sludge buildup, thick oil deposits, or dark staining throughout the cylinder head.

That’s not what we’re seeing here.

This Civic is a great example of what proper maintenance can do over the long haul.

Clean oil. Regular service. Taking care of the little things.

Sometimes the best evidence of a well maintained vehicle is what you don’t see.

1990 Honda CRX Si - 61,000 miles

This is easily the cleanest Honda CRX I've ever seen

All original. Un-modified. It's just so good in it's original form.

Let me tell you how clean this vehicle is. Just spotless inside and out. Literally show room quality. The paint has a deep shine to it. The interior is spacious, simple, and gets down to business. The sporty bucket seats with the rare red stitching. And manual gear box. This car checks all the boxes for me.
