🌱 DON’T JUST PARK THE MOWER AND FORGET IT.

When you’re finished mowing for the year, a little maintenance can prevent unpleasant surprises next spring.

Before storing your mower:

✅ Add fuel stabilizer and run the engine long enough to circulate it
✅ Change the oil if recommended
✅ Clean grass and debris from the deck
✅ Inspect the belt, blade, and air filter
✅ Disconnect or maintain the battery on a riding mower
✅ Check the owner’s manual for proper storage instructions

If working near the blade, always disconnect the spark-plug wire and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.

Summer washer fluid may clean the windshield, but it may not provide the freeze protection you’ll need when temperatures drop.

Before colder weather arrives:

✅ Choose a winter-rated washer fluid
✅ Check the temperature rating on the jug
✅ Test the sprayers and inspect the nozzles
✅ Make sure the reservoir is full
✅ Never use engine antifreeze in the washer reservoir

🔧 Engine air filter: Helps keep dirt and dust out of the engine.

💨 Cabin air filter: Helps trap dust, pollen, and debris before they enter the passenger compartment.

Signs a filter may need attention include reduced airflow from the vents, musty odors, excessive dust inside the cab, or a visibly dirty engine filter.
