Making some progress!

OK,  here is a lengthy explanation of what is going on with rough boy. About a year ago, I made a trade to get the car pictured here. It is a 1963 Pontiac star chief it’s a really cool car but ultimately it was gonna be more work than it was worth so I put it on Facebook marketplace to try and sell it and eventually a guy got a hold of me offering to trade this bronze c10 pick up that is also pictured. Obviously, I made that trade and I was just going to build this truck possibly make it a short bed things like that, when one day me and my wife are sitting outside looking at the truck thinking about it and she came up with the idea of why not put that cab and bed on the C 30 frame because the C 30 did not have a bed I thought right away this is a genius idea, and I have to do it! So that’s where we’re at. Obviously this truck was not a 1 ton truck and does not have fenders that can compensate for the dual rear wheels of the C30 chassis more on that will be coming though.

The engine’s been there before, but I like the new color for sure. That is the 396 big block.

So I’ve decided to change La Grange to Trooper of the storm variety. I’m sure you can see why. This is the look I’m going for now. Right now it has my 396 big block and my Muncie 4-speed in it. The 396 is definitely coming out because I have another project that I want to put it in. You’ll see soon. But I’m thinking of leaving the Muncie in it and dropping it a 5.3L. Would be a fun car to drive!

So this is my 1976 GMC Jimmy, I got it in a trade. I’m gonna try and start doing some work on it. The plan is to convert it to 2wd and air bag it. Paint it matte black and do all the brite work in gloss black and all the emblems and interior in red. Check the comments for a rendering of what I’m going for.
