Running behind on updates and have been extremely busy. But, many of you have asked about the LML Duramax project and what we found for our customer. We found it was in fact throwing a code for low rail pressure. But just would not light up the check engine light. This was due to bad seals on a primer bulb delete kit that was installed by someone else. It was actually the wrong seal entirely. This was allowing air to enter the system as well as a failed aftermarket lift pump to the point it would not even move the needle on a fuel gauge. The failed pump was actually causing a restriction in the fuel system. It could not supply enough fuel to the injection pump. We suspect it was due to poor install as it is a pump from a very reputable company and have found several install issues on this truck. The truck also has a P0650 stating that it's unable to set the check engine light. We have found loose fuse holders where someone shoved wires into fuse slots to get power along with several blown fuses. We also found where someone tapped into several components under the dash to install aftermarket heated seats robbing needed power from the gauge cluster. We are currently waiting on a new Air Dog fuel system to come in, are going to redo all the poor wiring, and get him back up and rolling right. We are not here to bash anyone but we get a lot of this sort of thing. This is why we urge everyone to always use a reputable shop even if it is not us. It can save you a lot of money in the future and keep you from having poor installs like the ones pictured below.
