It was a fine day at Upstate Cycle as our old friend Rob made his way out of the Georgia pines to pay us a visit, and drop off his 480 race edition for a quick tune up! But as fate would have it Rob couldn't help but take home our 2026 Beta ALP 4.0! A perfect bike to rip down the pavement, but nimble and powerful enough to tear up the trail too! He'll have a tough decision deciding between his 480 and the ALP the next time he heads out to the trails! As you've probably guessed this isn't Rob's first rodeo. He's owned a plethora of cool machines over the years, his first being a Briggs & Stratton powered minibike, but soon many more, such as a CT70H and even a Harley Baja 100. However one bike that stands out the most was his 1972 Kawasaki Mach IV triple, a seriously powerful bike that earned it the nickname of the Widow Maker! I think its safe to say he'll be able to handle the smooth power of his new ALP! Thanks again Rob, it was great seeing your still with the team. We will see ya on the trail!

Upstate Cycle had a thrilling start to its day, as our good friend Tony made the trip back down to see us from those awesome Virginia mountains! Tony had his heart set on not one, but two of Beta's newest and very impressive race models! He chose the potent "2026" Beta 350RX, as well as the powerful "2025" 450RC! He definitely got the best of both worlds with this top of the class duo, mixing raw 2-stroke power with smooth 4-stroke power delivery, for a combo like no other! Tony's no stranger to two wheels ever since his dad surprised him and his brothers with a Honda XL70 back in the early 70's. That sparked his love for the trail, and over the years he moved up to multiple different bikes such as a MR175, XR200, KDX200, DR350, and even a couple of Husky's he got from us way back when! Even though back in "1986" he was in a freak car accident, where he was thrown out the rear window and given slim chances of having a normal life. But he jumped back on two wheels and hasn't stopped since! You've got two incredible new rides Tony! Glad to see you still with the team! We will see ya on the trail!

One of Upstate Cycles good customers, "Ken", from those magnificent mountains of N.C., was looking for the new redesigned GPX 300FSE, an air cooled, fuel injected four-stroke! A very impressive dirt bike, but also street legal out of the box. It's primarily built for woods, and comes with fully adjustable, and lowerable suspension, Bosch EFI, skid plate, disc gaurd, handguards, LED lights, a comfortable seat, and also electric start, with smooth and manageable power delivery at a very comfortable price.
Ken has a very interesting history on two wheels. He started riding at 12 on a Suzuki 80 and it didnt take long for him to realize that racing was in his blood! His first race was on a 1969 Penton. Enclosed is the cool pic of him from the Alligator Enduro. After a period of time, he moved to the "74" Bultaco 250, which he totally rebuilt from the ground up. We also included a picture of that beauty too. As a matter a fact, since his first motorcycle, he's owned to many machines to list. Approximately 7 street bikes and 25 dirt machines! One thing that I thought was really neat, was how he saved room by taking the engraved trophy plates from many of his deteriorating older trophies, and attached them to a panel, which is pictured. Also attached is a photo of one of his favorite races, which has him getting ready to leave the starting line for the 69th ISDE. Very intriguing Ken! Especially with minimal injuries over time. An ACL replacement, (ouch!), and a few broke ribs! Very cool!
Thanks Ken! It was great getting to know a little more about you! Im sure you'll enjoy that GPX! One super nice ride! Glad to see your still with the team, we'll see ya on the trail!

Upstate Cycle jumped at the chance to travel up into the clouds of the beautiful Western Blue Ridge Mountain region of N.C. to meet up with our new customer Daniel. After arriving, it was quite a surprise to see a number of our friends and customers there to also greet us! Very Cool! They aided in helping unload Daniel's new & very eye catching "2026" Beta 300 X/Pro 2stroke enduro bike! A special machine designed as a premium woods-focused bike that blends "old school" reliability with modern handling and rideability. It is positioned as a versatile, comfortable, and easy-to-manage, yet high performing tight woods speciality machine! It didnt take the crowd long to enjoy taking the Beta for a quick ride as the sun disappeared behind the mountains!
Daniel started experiencing this great sport at approximately 12years old , on a Honda XR80, along with other machines which followed over time, until he decided to serve his country during 2005, when he joined the Airforce, located in Colorado Springs, until 2012. Then after chilling for awhile, he started back enjoying this sport on a Suzuki DRZ400 and then enjoyed experiencing the road on a sharp Honda Shadow 750. But one night the 750 Shadow and much of his belongings completely burned up leaving the Honda to basically just the Handlebars. The fire happened, due to a wood heater-stove on the upper floor, where the owner of the rental complex lived. A fire started and theres not much left to say! But after we unloaded Daniel's Beta, we saw a smile like none other! Thanks so much Daniel! Enjoy that sweet machine! And thanks so much for your service to our country, to keep us safe! Welcome to the team and we will see ya on the trail!

All of us here at Upstate Cycle had a great time getting to know Kristen and John, who entered Upstate Cycle from the Tennessee-Virginia area. They came in to check out their favorite Beta's. The super sweet Beta X/Trainer 300 and the potent Beta 430 Race Edition. Kristen started riding her first Dirt Bike around 10 years old, and after enjoying the sport for about a year, she encountered a pretty bad slide-out on the bike. So she gave 4/wheeling a try for a period of time. But now she's getting back on two wheels, on board the Beta 300 X/Trainer. A perfect choice for super smooth power, lowseat height, and lightweight fun! A very rider friendly machine, for sure! Now John started riding a PW50 at 5 years old, but didn't feel comfortable on it right off, so he put motorcycles on the back burner for awhile. But John started getting interested in the sport again when his father decided to get back into AMA, MX racing at 50 years old on board a potent Suzuki RM370. That was enough to get John motivated to get back into the sport on a YZ426 in 2001. He got off the YZ in 2006, and has now decided to pick the very impressive Beta 430 Race Editon as his next machine to go beside his wife's Xtrainer! Two great machines that will work out perfectly. Especially with these two living up in those beautiful mountains! I'm sure theres a lot of good times and memories on the horizon for both of you! Thanks guys we're glad to have ya'll on the team, and we'll see ya on the trail!

Upstate Cycle started its day by welcoming Chad, who is from the local area. He was looking to get back into the dirt after a number of years. He started riding back in "1991" on a KX125 when he was about 15 years old. Absolutely loved the sport, and enjoyed his time aboard multiple units, until he was about 20, where he was then riding a CR500. He then wanted to give 4wheelers a shot, with his first one being a 400EX, and then later to the potent Suzuki LT250R! But as time went on, he couldn't resist getting back on 2wheels.
He came in and fell for the very impressive "2025" Beta 250 Race Edition! A very good choice! A flashy, quick, and nimble machine with race ready features such as KYB suspension and high end components. Beta's focus is on making a very capable race bike thats genuinely fun and accessible,- thus the logo, "Rideability"! Chad's in for a treat! Especially since its such a versatile tool for both fun and trailriding, but also for serious racing.
Thanks Chad! "Grip it and rip it!" Youre going to have a blast out there! Welcome to the team and we will see ya on the trail!

All of us here at Upstate Cycle had a treat today, as our good friends Jennifer and Todd, from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina popped in to our shop in order for Jennifer to get a very special Christmas present to remember! The "2026" Beta 300 Race Edition! Talk about a present to remember? Yep, that should do it! Very sweet! Especially with all the updates to the motor and external apperance for 2026!
Jennifer and Todd are definitely not strangers to this great sport. Todd has been racing forever, and is currently enjoying the competition on board his 300 Race Edition. Jennifer was riding a very sweet Beta X/Trainer 300 when the two happen to meet on Facebook. Before you knew it, she started lending support to Todd when he raced.
But it wasnt long after that when they both decided to start racing the Virginia and N.C. series together around 2020!
Congrats Jennifer! This is one seriously cool set of wheels! You go girl! Enjoy that "2026" Beta 300 Race Edition, if you're able to pry Todd's hands off the handlebars! Its great to see you both still with the team! We will see ya on the trail!

Well, it was time for another relaxing drive for Upstate Cycle, as we drove to one of our favorite destinations. The Croom Motorcycle Riding Area near Brooksville, Florida. We met our buddy Scott, who's an impressive 30 year retired fireman, who took possession of this highly coveted Beta 200 Race Edition! A light, snappy, balanced, well handling and powerful machine with top notch suspension, which makes this bike a total dream to ride or race!
Scott started enjoying this sport in the early 70's on-board a GT80 & then a YZ250 in 1984. He started racing the FTR series in 1986, aboard a KTM 200. He quickly learned to love the sport when in 1988 he was a finisher of what was known as America's Toughest Race, "The Black Water 100" in West Virginia. And then after years of relishing this sport, in 2019 he was air lifted to the ICU for a couple of weeks with a punctured lung & 6 broke ribs which were broken in 12 places, that were rebuilt with titanium plates. But bad luck followed him a couple of years later where he was air lifted again, with a broke bone in his spine, along with 4 more broken ribs and a punctured lung on the opposite side from his previous accident. Not to long ago, he even battled through a heart attack! Unbelievable! But he hasn't let bad luck stop him from enjoying this great sport! Now he has added the physical activity and recreation of Dual Sporting to his agenda! He also blew us away being a part of Kyle Turnis's (listed as Kyle Turner on some entries) chase team in the Baja 1000, where he achieved a strong result, finishing 3rd in the Pro Moto Ironman class of the 2025 season! Wow! Very Cool! And in conclusion to this write-up, his oldest son is a 5 time FTR Enduro Champion, and this year he grabbed the overall SETRA Championship! Magnificent achievement Scott! Its been great getting to know you and trading some very interesting stories! Thanks my man! Enjoy that fine 200 Beta Race Edition! Welcome to the team and we will see ya on the trail!

This particular day at Upstate Cycle found us loading up this incredible "2025" Beta 125 X/Pro. A magnificent lightweight and nimble machine, making it a pleasure to corner, handle, and control! Beta's 125 was refined for the "2024" & "2025" model years, featuring a new cylinder & powervalve system, and increased peak horsepower. There were also more upgrades made to the front & rear suspension. Updates for the "2025" X/Pro model, included a new frame, revised updates to the suspension, and lower seat height.
We hit the Interstate to meet up with our old friend and racer Dwight, from the Magnolia State of Mississippi! This is one super impressive Pro rider, which we are very happy to have on a Beta!
Dwight's father introduced him to the sport at age 9, with a gift of a lawn-mower engine powered minibike. His dad also got a Harley 165 out of the barn and coaxed it back to life when Dwight was 12. Over time he graduated to a Suzuki T250 Scrambler. Then he traded it for a "69" Yamaha AT1, where in 1971 he ran his 1st Enduro in Alabama. He loves competition, with enduros being his favorite. He raced for Hercules in late 1975, on a 125 6-speed and then a 7-speed. Then Yamaha picked him up to race the IT175, with many YZ upgrades, to make the machine even more competitive. Then he rode for Suzuki on the PE175. And then to Husqvarna as a support rider, along with a full slate of many other accomplishments over time! Dwight has had a significant career in off/road racing, including the International Six Day trial. (ISDT, Now being ISDE)
His completion in seven ISDT/ ISDE events earned him a gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals, finishing every event he entered! He was, and still is an avid competitor in the National Enduros and Southern Enduro Riders association events, among others. Now he's on/board this sweet Beta 125 X/Pro, and ready to roll it up to the starting line! Thanks Dwight! Great to see you still in the game, my man! Welcome to the team and we will see ya on the trail, if i look quick enough!

Jason, who is from "The Old Dominion" state of Virginia, came by Upstate Cycle to pickup this specialized Beta 390RR X/Pro. He was ahead of the curve by already researching and knowing which motorcycle and accessories he wanted, such as wrap around hand gaurds, billet radiator gaurds, and a Beta fan kit for tight woods riding. His focus was on finding a more comfortable and stable woods machine, with unique features like the X/Trig handlebar mounts, coolant recovery tank, lower seat height, excellent low-end engine performance, and quality components like ZF suspension, to name a few of the impressive components.
Jason started riding in "2009" in California, while serving in the Navy. In 2015 he retired from the Navy, and started traveling for work, which limited his time to enjoy the sport of riding. He hasn't ridden offroad since "2021" and decided he would get back into it on this extraordinary machine! Thanks Jason. And thanks so much for stepping up to serve in the U.S.Navy! Now its time for you to get out and enjoy that sweet Beta! Welcome to the team and we will see ya on the trail!

Upstate Cycle had another beautiful Sunday to hit the highway, in order to meet our new customer Landy, from the Raleigh, N.C. area. He took possession of this beautiful "2026" Beta Alp 4.0 machine! This particular Beta 4.0 is not to be confused with the Beta Alp X. Both models are similar, but the biggest difference is the wheel sizes between the two models. The Alp X uses 17" and 19" wheels, with tires a little better suited for on-road riding, while still maintaining some off-road capability, while the Alp 4.0 is equipped with 18" and 21" wheels and tires, more focused on off-road riding. Landy has explored both models and decided the Alp 4.0 was the one for him.
Landy hopped on his first bike at 5 years old on a Honda 50, among others. And then at about 21 years old, he got into street machines, and moved into road racing. And then between 2013-2017, he started his own motorcycle dealership. He gradually pulled away from running his own shop, to just wrenching on motorcycles, which he really enjoys! But now days, he's back in the saddle again, enjoying the street and dirt to no end! And this Beta should work out perfectly! Thanks Landy! Enjoy that bike! Welcome to the team and we will see ya on the trail!
