I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my Honda Navi—the one I originally bought back in 2022 in Columbia, South Carolina. Well, there’s quite a story behind how it ended up back with us.

Not long after getting it, my wife and I were struck by a Honda Prelude while we were stopped at the end of our street, waiting to turn. We were both ejected from the bike and thrown into oncoming traffic. Thankfully, we walked away with only a few bumps and scrapes, but after that accident, I just never felt quite right riding the Navi again.

Eventually, we sold it to a gentleman in the mountains who wanted to use it while going out to photograph birds. Somewhere along the way, he gave it to his son—and apparently, the poor Navi had a pretty rough life after that. It was laid down, nearly every piece of the fairing was broken, the right peg was bent, the brakes were shot, and at one point it wasn’t even running.

The young man I recently bought it from had purchased it from them, got it running again, and eventually listed it for sale.

Then, completely by chance, I was scrolling through Facebook Marketplace one day and saw a very familiar Honda Navi. Sure enough, it was mine.

So, after almost three years apart, we bought it back and brought it home.

The good news is that it actually runs very well. The bad news is that it needs a whole lot of love everywhere else. Our plan is to take our time, restore him back to as close to new as we can, and eventually enjoy some short rides to and from work or around town for food and beverages.

It’s pretty wild that this little bike found its way back to us after everything it’s been through.

Wish us luck as we begin the journey of bringing my Honda Navi back to life! 🏍️🔧❤️

Well, after about three years since I sold the Honda NAVI, I found it for sale on Facebook Marketplace! He’s a little beat up, but we can definitely get him back to the good old days. Welcome home, Mr. NAVI! 🏍️🙌🏼
