We love capable vehicles, but this weekend is about preparation, not fun wheeling. Most of us are used to prepping for wild events, but this one may need a few extra details.
β’ Plan to stay home if you can
Ice is unpredictable and under-treated in our region. If travel isnβt essential, the safest move is not driving.
β’ Stock essentials before the storm hits
Food, water, meds, flashlights, batteries, and a way to stay warm in case of power outages.
β’ Assume power outages will happen
Charge phones, battery packs, and anything you rely on before temps drop.
β’ Check on family, neighbors, and pets
Especially elderly neighbors or anyone who may lose heat or power.
β’ If you must drive, slow down...way down
4WD helps you move, not stop. Ice removes braking and steering control.
β’ Keep your vehicle emergency-ready
If you must drive, keep a blanket, charger, flashlight, gloves, and water in case you get stranded.
β’ When in doubt, wait it out
No appointment or errand is worth risking your safety.
We hope everyone stays safe this weekend!
