Update on The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride from yesterday.

We want to thank everyone for participating in our charity event yesterday. We had a record number of riders and donations.

As promised here is the link to all of the pictures: https://laketography.smugmug.com/AutoTrendsJeepGuysSelectCycle/DGR2026

We also want to thank everyone for their patience and flexibility as we had to make some adjustments to the ride. As you know, one of the Sheriff Department officers that was going to lead our ride was involved in an accident shortly before the ride. Our latest information is that the officer was injured, but has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. As always we are grateful for their service and thankful the officer was not more seriously injured.

We were so very impressed with how understanding everyone was and we look forward to future rides where we will have backup plans in place to ensure rides are completed with safety being the number one concern.

Again, thank you for making this a record fundraiser and we look forward to seeing you on future rides very soon.

The The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride leaves Select Cycle at noon on Sunday May 17th

The DGR is a simultaneous worldwide event that allows the local community to participate in this prestigious, caring, and generous event.

Riders may register at www.gentlemansride.com (choose the Greensboro, N. C. ride)

The ride unites classic and vintage styled motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and menā€™s mental health. Since 2012 over USD $50 Million has been raised by 500,000 riders from 121 countries around the world.

This event is sure to be talked about for a long time to come!
You may see something of a time warp this weekend as dapper riders dress up and take to the streets of Downtown Greensboro, NC and surrounding areas to support a worldwide cause. The sheriff escorted ride begins at Select Cycle heading to Downtown High Point, NC then ending up back at Revolution Mill ā€œAt The Stacksā€ adjacent to Grapes and Grains where plenty of food and beverages will be underway.
