Came for a BNI 1-to-1. Found a kindred spirit. Coffee was a bonus. ☕💙

Met up with monicazseltvay, a local Realtor here in NC, at sweetdoughbakeshop in Summerfield and discovered we have more in common than a love for helping people with their homes - including our attachments to the coast! 🌊

That’s my favorite part of making connections here: getting to know the person behind the business and finding those little things that make you say, “Oh, we’re going to get along!” 😂

The cauldron is bubbling.
I’m roasting.
Matt’s casting spells at the window.
And Kobalt thinks I’m making him a snack. 😂🐾

Turns out, the kitchen isn’t cursed. It just gets a little too much afternoon sun. ☀️

If you have a room that heats up when the sun hits the windows, you know the feeling - even when the weather outside starts cooling down.

Window film can help reduce incoming solar heat so you can enjoy your space a little more comfortably.

Not every transformation needs a dramatic before-and-after. Sometimes, you love the look - you just need less heat. ☀️💙

At Neighborhood Barre Kernersville , heat coming through the windows was a concern. But keeping the studio bright, welcoming, and visible to people walking by mattered, too.

We installed Madico, Inc. Purelite 40, a neutral window film that helps reduce incoming solar heat and provides UV protection for the retail items near the windows.

A subtle change, chosen around how they wanted their space to feel and function.

Privacy by Day… or Night?

You want more privacy - but you still want to see outside. Sound familiar? ☕💙

The first question I ask is: “Are you more concerned about daytime or nighttime privacy?”

That answer helps us explore the options. Reflective film can provide daytime privacy when it’s brighter outside than inside. Decorative film obscures the view, with different finishes offering different levels of visibility.

Sometimes, a combination makes the most sense - like the two films we used for the client's entryway shown near the end of this video.

You want to enjoy your living room - not feel like everyone approaching your front door can see right in. 💙

That was Susan’s concern. She wanted more privacy, but still wanted some visibility outside.

We used decorative film on her sidelights to obscure the clear view while allowing her to make out movement and colors. On the door glass, we installed a different film for daytime privacy while keeping more of her view.

We talked through the options and found a combination that fit what mattered to her.

Then she left us this sweet five-star review! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This Transformation Thursday shows how decorative window film can make an existing window feel right for the space.

The textured finish obscures the view while still allowing light through - giving this bathroom a little more privacy without adding a curtain or replacing the glass.
