One of our great 10/10ths Drivers is selling his track car and retiring from driving. I know him and his car very well. Both as solid as you can get.

2004 Corvette Z06 Racecar
Centennial Edition (Z16)
VIN: 1G1YY12S445130624
I am the second owner of this Corvette and bought it in 2010 when it had about 4000 miles on it. It was bone stock then but has been completely modified to run competitively in HPDE events. All modifications have been made professionally by Danny Popp and Mike Ballard. The stock LS6 motor has been replaced by a Lingenfelder LS3, 417, tuned by the renowned Lingenfelder Calibration Engineer/tuning specialist Christian de Saint Preux, at Wixon, Michigan. A copy of the Dyno Sheet is attached.
I have been running this car exclusively at Putnam Park Road Course, in Greencastle, IN, NCM Motorsports Park, Bowling Green, KY, and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. It is very fast, well balanced, with precision handling, and excellent braking. Basically, it is ready for you to turn the key, and be able to run 1:10s, or faster, at Putnam Park, or comparable speeds at other tracks!!
The modifications and improvements made to this car are numerous and I will list many of them below:
- Powered by a Lingenfelder LS3, 417, with forged pistons. The attached dyno sheet from Lingenfelter shows a max power of 541.5 and max torque of 508.00. It has been tuned to run on 93 octane pump gas.
- Brakes β Stop Tech BBK, with recently rebuilt pistons and fairly new rotors. BONUS: Included are a set of new, unopened Hawk brake pads for all four wheels!
- Two separate, redundant fire suppression units which purchased from Spa Technique, Inc in Indianapolis. One system is activated manually, and the other is activated based on excessive temperatures.
- Oil Catch Can with a custom built, easily accessible drain switch. Very little oil is ever in this can.
- Quarter Master, 7.25, light weight racing clutch. About two years old
- JRI coil over double adjustable shocks
- Torque tube has been rebuilt and solid couplers added
- Delrin Van Steel bushings
- Competition VBP high-rate springs
- Differential and transmission fluid coolers
- Transmission has the close ratio 2.66 first gear
- Bump steer kits
- Pfadt front and rear sway bars
- 4-wheel alignment and corner weighted and balanced to 50% by Danny Popp at Superior Alignment in Cincinnati
- Dailey dry sump oil system
- Holley dry sump valve covers
- Borla Stinger Cat Back 2.5β exhaust system- sounds great!!
- Includes three complete sets of 18β Corvette wheels. Two of the sets have Hoosier R-7s (each set has at least one weekend of HPDE left), and one set with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires which are practically new. Good rain tires. The Hoosier R-7s are P315/30ZR18, and the Michelins are 295/35ZR18. BONUS: the eight Hoosier R-7s are stored on a Tire Rack two-tiered rolling tire storage rack which is included.
- Complete custom cage designed, bent and welded by Mike Ballard. They are 1.75β od, and built to NASA guidelines and modified slightly for easier entry and exit
- Original Z 16 hood replaced with a carbon fiber, vented ACP hood which has been painted by Mike and Dan Ballard to match the original Centennial hood.
- Hood latches
- Hurst short throw shifter
- SPARCO 375 detachable steering wheel
- SPARCO seats (2)
- 6 point harness β Schroth Flexi 2X2 Harness
- Window netting
- GOOD AERO rear wing, 72β wide, carbon fiber, easily adjustable angles
- Custom made front splitter by Danny Popp. Adjustable and strong
- Auto-Blip. (an electronic device which manages throttle blips during downshifts)
- Clear PPF paint protection- full front, rocker panels, mirrors, and quarter panels
- Battery relocated to the trunk
- AIM MXL 2 Dash Logger with shift lights, estimated lap times, oil and coolant temps, and an automatic alert for low oil pressure. This device is mounted directly behind the steering wheel and easy to observe. This is also coordinated with the Smarty Cam which is located on the cage cross bar behind the driverβs seat in the middle of the car
- Tow hooks
- Heat and defrost still work for cold or rainy conditions
- Two lifting pucks that slide into a receiver mounted on the frame at the midpoint on both sides of the car and allow you to raise the front and back wheels simultaneously with a floor jack. Quick and convenient tire rotations or changes. See demo in video attached
- New differential installed in January 2026. It is a 2 Stage RPM diff with 3.42 gears
Asking $62,500
