We are saddened to share the passing of one of our former owners, Gordon Hinman. Gordon and his business partner, Jim Barton owned and operated Chenango Sales from 1967 to 2000. At that time they sold the dealership to Byron Miller and Jim Bleyle.

Gordon was a wealth of knowledge about the history of Chenango Sales and the town / village of Greene. He was an integral part of the community having served on many boards of directors for local organizations. His contributions to the community were many and he will be missed greatly.

On a more personal note we will miss him greatly at the dealership. Gordon would stop by the dealership on a normal basis to help us with errands and other tasks. We all had many conversations while sitting in front of the pellet stove. We would have a cup of coffee and reminisce of simpler times.

We are saddened to see him go, but we are sure that him and Jim are up in Heaven selling Fords. Please remember Gordon fondly as his passing is an end of an era.

The countdown is on, and we couldn’t be more excited! In just four days, our lot will be filled with incredible vehicles, great people, amazing food, and plenty of horse power.
