ATTN Treaded Tire Racers:
We have had a few ask about a tire rule since we will have the treaded class at our upcoming race on October 25. After much careful discussion, we have came to the following conclusion…
As everyone knows, we are an open tire track, and we truly pride ourselves on that. In keeping up with the spirit of being open tire, we will be allowing both the Hoosier A40-T tires and the Maxxis T-18 tires to compete in the treaded class together. Both tire manufacturers are very comparable and competitive with each other on the tracks as well. We feel that this will add to our racing program, and not exclude anyone from competition.
With all of that said, we will have a punch rule. We believe that 45 is a fair rule for that.
We will NOT be sending off tires samples. There are too many variables to get involved in all of that. We will not become the tire police, nor will we facilitate any form of drama coming from any tire issues. We are adding the treaded class for the fun and love of racing.
If anyone has anything that they would like to discuss, now is the time, and this is the post. We are definitely not experts on these tires, but we have consulted with several racers who have great knowledge in them, but if you have a different opinion, you are more than welcome to voice it.

We aren’t sure what the weather has planned for tomorrow, so we are going to hold off on practice.
We are still planning to run October 25.
We will make a post later discussing the tread class for the upcoming race.

We are planning to have a practice this Saturday, October 11. Please let us know if you plan to attend so that preparations can be made.
Gates will open at 4pm
We should be on the track by 6pm
There will be a flat $20 fee per adult, and a $10 fee per kid 11 years and younger to practice.
This will cover all fees, including insurance.
Parking will be free, you may request a specific spot at no charge as well.
There will not be a parts trailer on site.

Thank you to all who came out last night! It was a great night of racing. We were happy to see some familiar faces and some new faces.
We would also like to thank those that have helped bring Rocky Creek back to life behind the scenes.
We are looking forward to more racing soon. We will not be racing this coming weekend, due to being short staffed, but will have an open practice if anyone would like to come to turn laps.
We will be racing next on October 25.
