Way to go, Annabelle!!
😲12-YEAR-OLD ENTREPRENUER RAISES OVER $1,200!😲
In a remarkable act of generosity and determination, 12-year-old Annabelle, along with her younger brother Sully, have made a profound impact on our animal shelter community. The siblings set up their annual lemonade stand during the “Cruise In” event at the AuSable River Festival, marking their fifth year of participation. However, this year Annabelle took her charitable efforts to an entirely new level by securing matching donations from three local businesses in Grayling.
Annabelle’s lemonade stand raised an impressive $305.75. But thanks to her initiative and community spirit, three generous businesses stepped up to match her efforts, each contributing $305.00. Representatives from Upper Lakes Tire, Tinker’s Junction, and Shine Cleaning Service joined Annabelle and Sully to present the combined total of $1,220.75 to AuSable Valley Animal Shelter. This incredible donation will go a long way in supporting essential services, including our TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) program.
Annabelle’s passion for philanthropy and entrepreneurship has also caught the attention of Garrett Godsey from Phoenix Facilities Management, who was moved by her entrepreneurial spirit. Garrett will now mentor Annabelle in creating a community-wide lemonade stand competition for kids. The initiative will encourage other young entrepreneurs to set up their own lemonade stands to raise funds for the shelter, while also earning money for college savings.
Annabelle’s dedication to helping animals was further solidified when she expressed her specific passion for cats. When asked how she would feel about her fundraising dollars going toward the shelter’s TNVR program, she responded enthusiastically. Thanks to Annabelle and Sully’s efforts, our shelter will be able to spay and neuter 60 cats in our community, providing much-needed sterilization surgeries and vaccines.
We’ve invited Annabelle and her family to attend our upcoming spay and neuter clinic on September 11th, 12th, and 13th. This will give Annabelle and Sully the opportunity to see the direct impact of their hard work and contributions in action.
We are incredibly proud of Annabelle and Sully for their dedication to our shelter and the community. Their generosity and enthusiasm for helping animals is truly inspiring, and we are excited to watch them continue to make a difference.
And thanks to Upper Lakes Tire Of Grayling, Tinker's Junction, and Phoenix Facilities Management, Inc. for fostering the entrepreneurial spirit in our community. Your enthusiastic efforts are making a difference!
