Let’s get past this right away. The 2014 Honda NC700X was never intended for a seasoned, jaded rider who has been riding since Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. It was intended to provide...

They say if you stand on a corner of downtown Grants Pass, you will eventually see everyone you know as they pass by. This 1992 Harley Davidson Fat Boy FLSTF is sort of the same type of story having been bought new by the folks that are consigning it 98,000 miles later. Almost every mile on the bike has been two up as it crossed the country on more than one occasion. It has been to almost every HD Rally west of the Mississippi at least twice over the decades, making the owners part of the huge family of Harley Touring riders.

Along the way, larger Gas Tanks were purchased, painted and installed. Custom Seats replaced the stock banana Seat and the Exhaust pipes were replaced with aftermarket performance parts. A box of spare parts and a factory service manual were collected and all of the stock parts (including the stock fuel tanks) were keep safely stored away and now will go with the bike.

Regular services were completed and the most recent, local work has receipts for new tires, oil changes and a 100,000 mile service are with the bike. The head light has a pretty good dent received while the bike was being unloaded from a trailer and got tangled up in a support cable. Other than that, normal wear and tear has occurred but the bike has never been crashed or fallen over.

This is a chance to continue the adventure started 30 years ago on a bike that was respected, ridden and keep up to s***f. The selling price reflects the year, the miles, the regular upkeep and respect the bike has been shown since new.

Miles are 97,876 and The VIN # is 1HD1BML18NY018425 the selling price is $5,895. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit our web site http://www.automaniagp.com , 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287.

In 2000, American Honda was the main sponsor of Reg Pridmore’s CLASS Motorcycle Safety Schools and as such, supplied a fleet of late model Honda’s for Reg to use as control bikes and to demonstrate the techniques and riding skills taught at the school. The bikes were ridden hard during their track duties for several years at a time racking up at least 10,000 miles each. We never had a mechanical issue the only problems were cosmetically induced from the total loss of traction and gravity.

What I can say is that as a Sportbike equipped with proper tires, when a current model, there wasn’t a lot that could run with at the track. It was predictable and neutral even with a “large frame” sitting on top. I have great memories of riding over the edge at Loudon, NH for several days and being amused at what was described as a “street bike” giving fits to Ducatis and other current Sportbikes. Good tires were transforming.

A local rider has been after a clean VFR for years and finally found one here in the valley. It already had a Ohlin’s Rear Shock and Spring, Circuit One Front Fork Internals, Two Brothers Exhaust, a Corbin Seat and a set of Helibar Bar Backs. He was given Honda Dealer Service records that showed service records at 14,966 miles up in Roseburg. The new owner spooned a set of new Michelins about 500 miles ago but found that his shoulder was hurting every time he rode the bike. The next visit was to the shop for us to sell it for him.

It is cosmetically excellent, the bikes always looked great in Yellow, a break from the Honda Red every time seems to be painted from that time period.

The selling price for this motorcycle is $5,695. VIN and miles are 16,509. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit our web site http://www.automaniagp.com , 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287

There are all sorts of reasons almost brand new motorcycles come across the shop floor, one of the hardest to hear about is a medical deterioration that pull a spike in someone’s dreams. This 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 is here because of one of those moments, showing 114 miles from new.

Standards and Adventure bikes are the most popular bikes we sell, the world woke up to agony of living a daily life with a track focused Sportbike. Sportbikes are the ultimate weapon, so tightly focused on their intended environment that day to day riding on the street can be exhausting. Besides, a good rider on a Standard can comfortably out ride a less experienced rider on a Sportbike in most situations. Posing only goes so far.

And then there is money part of the equation, Standards are usually a bargain compared to the latest and baddest hyper Sportbike.

The FZ-09 comes with 847cc Triple, Crossplane crank, putting out 115hp with just over 400 pounds to pull around. There are electronically controlled ride modes, ABS Brakes, Fuel Injection, all standard. Pretty normal stuff but Yamaha designed the fun into the package which you see the first time you look over the bars. Nothing there, just the Speedo. No extra weight on the front end, no change to the center of gravity keeping it low and easy to change direction. Simple. The engine sound is worth the price of admission even with the stock exhaust in place.

I did not get a record of the first oil change being completed, the bike is not even broken in. There are no cosmetic issues, the bike is almost as new as the day it was delivered. It starts instantly and runs as expected. Someone is getting an almost new motorcycle, one you can control the break-in period yourself.

The selling price for this motorcycle is $7,495. VIN # JYARN33E2EA003528 and miles are 114. The CTX700 range of bikes was intended to answer as many rider questions as Honda could muster all in one motorcycle. It could used by a new rider, with the DCT Automatic Transmission. It could be used by seasoned rider with it’s surprising ride and handling capabilities. It could be used as an everyday freeway commuter, returning over 60mpg. And lastly it could be seen as non-threatening, easy to manage motorcycle for someone thinking that their riding career had a sunset on the horizon yet they were not ready for a 3-Wheeler or Can-Am quite yet.

The twin cylinder 670cc engine has an almost car like character with a maximum limit of less than 7,000 RPM. The DCT transmission has two drive modes, D for full automatic or S mode that is more aggressive, both allowing manual controlled up and down shifts if so desired. ABS Brakes are a huge plus to riders just starting out and to more experienced folks dealing with an unexpected panic stop situation thrown at them.

The design had three goals, comfort, technology and to allow a great riding experience. The seat height is 28.3 inches, lower then even some of the lowest of Harleys. The mounting of the drivetrain and seat height meant the center of gravity was relatively low with no surprises in power delivery or braking. The riding position is pretty much upright with the pull back bars and slightly forward footrests and the seat, at least sitting on it here in the shop, feels pretty comfortable.

Our particular bike has several aftermarket parts, some still in their wrappers. One is the Lee Bailey Touring Wind Shield. The other is the GIVI Top Box. There are also a set of Foot Peg replacement Floor Boards, still in their box.

The selling price for this motorcycle is $6,495. VIN # JH2RC694XEKOOO526 and miles are 1,373. Since loosing Hansen’s Ducati in Southern Oregon in 2017, I am the first to admit I had lost track of the exotic features that Ducatis are known for. Getting familiar with this 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200GT, which rolled into the shop, has been almost the equivalent of a culture shock. Holy smokes, feeling a bit Caveman like.

The 2014 GT was the second year of a completely redesigned Multistrada which touted it’s “Skyhook” Electronic suspension control as the end all to adaptive motorcycle suspension. Ducati presented the bike as capable of mild fire road riding, but it is doubtful that one of these models ever followed the Baja 1000 race course successfully without needing serious cosmetic attention.
What the bike was wildly successful at was Sport Touring, demolishing secondary roads on cross country adventures that occasionally required a dirt road to get to a secluded, over the top get away along the path. The GT version of the bike could be summed up in one word, “Flexibility”.

The S version of the bike included Ride Modes, Power Modes, Ducati Safety Pack (ABS & DTC), Heated Grips, a Center Stand which the Granturismo (GT) version added even more icing to the cake in the form of larger Luggage, a rear Top Box (which included padding for the passenger’s back), a larger Wind Screen, LED Fog Lights, Taller Handle Bars, and Crash Protectors.

• Bosch-Brembo ABS 9ME braking system
• Riding Modes
• Ride-by-Wire
• Ducati Traction Control
• Sachs electronic suspension front and rear
• Ducati Skyhook Suspension system
• Heated grips
• Large screen
• Side luggage (73l) with internal soft-bags
• Top-case (48l) with internal soft-bag
• Centre stand
• Rider Comfort Seat
• LED spot-lights
• Engine protection bars

And Ducati took the big “elephant in the closet” factor away by recommending services at 15,000 miles instead of the 7500 of previous models. Deal maker!

Our customer than starting adding parts to his bike. He ordered the factory smaller Luggage covers (still in their box) which will narrow the bike down by almost a foot. He than installed an oversize windscreen, adding a custom mount which holds a BMV Navigator 5 GPS unit. Nothing was done that cannot be undone, but it is great having the GPS located right in sight on almost factory appearing mounting system. Another situation where medical issues arose and the bike managed to have only 1,390 miles added from new. A relatively new bike for half the cost on the showroom floor.

The selling price is $12,495. VIN # ZDM17BSWIEB009740 and miles showing are 1,390. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit our web site http://www.automaniagp.com , 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287

This 2007 BMW R1200GS is a bike that has all of the great parts of being a GS without the $23,000 price tag to chase after it for a new one. GS’s are the choice of weapons amongst long distance Adventure Riders and this particular bike is a great example of why, without the signs of being pushed up a rocky trail.

The bike comes equipped with the regular BMW accessories, ABS brakes, Heated Grips, Cylinder Guards, Over sized Foot Pegs, 2 Custom Front Heated front Saddles, Top Trunk, Soft Panniers over Saddle Bag Mounts. There are receipts for dealer services in the past, but the owner took over the oil changes including the transmission, rear end and engine oils being changed within 1,000 miles. Tires look to have at least 80% life left and there are no signs of tips overs or other damage. The bike is priced fairly, hard to find a R1200GS much less at a reasonable price.

The riding season is headed our way, the Canadian Border is sort of opened, now is the time to make a plan. The bike is ready for Alaska or the commute home, just a matter of how much time is on the table.

Miles are 42,505 and the VIN # is WB10317A17ZR41570. The selling price is $6,495. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit our web site http://www.automaniagp.com 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287.
