Does your steering wheel move before your motorhome actually responds? 🚐

That extra movement could be steering play.

There are a lot of components between your steering wheel and the front wheels, including the steering gearbox, pitman arm, drag link, bell crank, and tie rods. A little movement in several different components can add up to a lot of movement at the steering wheel.

That’s why it’s important to find out where the extra movement is coming from instead of assuming there’s one part that will fix everything.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at our team working on an alignment for this Safari Trek motorhome!

While one technician is behind the wheel, another is keeping an eye on the alignment measurements. Getting everything dialed in takes the right equipment, experience, and communication.

We see all kinds of motorhomes come through Henderson's Line-Up, and it's always fun to see the different makes and models!

A little change of scenery in the shop! 🏎️🔧

We're used to seeing all shapes and sizes of motorhomes roll through our doors, but we always enjoy getting the opportunity to work on something a little different!

This 2016 Ford Mustang came in for an alignment after experiencing tire wear. Interestingly enough, the alignment measurements were within factory specifications!

It's a good reminder that just because your alignment is within spec doesn't necessarily mean there isn't something contributing to uneven tire wear.

Whether it's a motorhome, a classic car, or your everyday driver, taking care of your vehicle is always important.

There isn’t always one simple cause. Weight distribution, tire pressure, tire choice, and how much weight is carried on the front axle can all play a part.

Recently, we added new alignment equipment to the shop, and our technicians have been putting it to work ever since!
