SuperSteer Welcome to Safer & Happier Driving! Originally, the business offered alignment, steering and brake work for just about any vehicle that rolled into the shop.

The History of Henderson’s Line-Up and SuperSteer Products
Henderson’s Line-Up was founded in 1961 by Floyd Henderson as a means to provide for his family, which included eight children and his wife, Ann. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I-5 was just being built a few miles away, and we had one of the first, on-the-car, high-speed wheel balancers in town. Since those early days, we have worked continually toward growth and progress to better serve our customers—with better people, better training, and the most comprehensive array of tools and equipment available. By the late 80’s, we began servicing the steering, suspension and braking needs of the recreational vehicle industry, which lead to many other opportunities. Because there were no products to solve the problems some of our customers were experiencing, we established our SuperSteer manufacturing division. We soon found out about the many variables in wheelbase, overall length, overhang past the rear wheels, and weight distribution—and realized that we had to find a “common denominator” of a good-handling coach. We subsequently designed a systemic approach to determine what the numbers needed to be to have a good handling vehicle. We trademarked the process and call it the Road Performance Assessment, or RPA. Today, Henderson’s Line-Up offers a full-line of products designed for “Safer and Happier Driving”, whether from our SuperSteer division, or other trusted sources of quality products. We travel all over the country servicing trucks, trailers and motorhomes at various events, and have established a nationwide reputation for knowledge, quality products and the best possible service. Yes, a lot of things have changed since 1961, but some things remain the same, and always will. Things like honesty, integrity, and treating people fairly. Going the extra mile for our customers and providing peace of mind for them when they’re on the road. At Henderson’s Line-Up, we will always strive to think the best, give the best, believe the best and expect the best from ourselves and our customers.

That SuperSteer blue is pretty hard to miss. 💙

This Sprinter 3500 is now equipped with a SuperSteer rear trac bar and rear sway bar.

While they’re installed in the same area, these two components have different jobs. The trac bar helps control side-to-side movement of the rear axle, while the sway bar helps control body roll.

Together, they’re part of addressing two different types of movement that can affect how an RV feels going down the road.

For the SuperSteer team, rallies are a chance to get out and meet the people who use our products, answer questions, check out some pretty incredible coaches, and talk all things RV steering and suspension.

Of course, walking past a lineup like this isn’t too bad either. 👀

What does a Safe-T-Plus actually do? 🤔

A Safe-T-Plus is a steering control device designed to help keep your motorhome tracking straight and give you more control behind the wheel.

It works by helping the steering return toward center, which can reduce the amount of correction you have to make while driving and help with things like crosswinds, passing trucks, and uneven road conditions.

It can also provide additional steering control in the event of a front tire blowout.

If you find yourself constantly making corrections or fighting the steering wheel, a steering control may be one piece of the solution.

What does a rear trac bar actually do? 🤔

Your rear axle is supposed to move up and down with the suspension, but there can also be unwanted side-to-side movement between the axle and the chassis.

A SuperSteer rear trac bar helps control that lateral movement, keeping the rear axle better positioned under the coach. This can help reduce that “tail wagging the dog” feeling and improve steering response, especially when dealing with passing trucks, crosswinds, and other conditions that can push your RV around.

It’s one of those upgrades you may not see once you’re back on the road, but you can certainly feel the difference behind the wheel! 🚐

Throwback Thursday! ⏪

SuperSteer has always been about more than just making parts. It’s about understanding how those parts work together to create a better driving experience.
