Brake pads are designed to wear, but once the friction material is gone, the metal backing can start damaging the rotor.

This is why brake noise is worth checking instead of guessing at. A proper look at the pads, rotors, calipers and hardware helps show what actually needs attention and why.

This was an actual vehicle in our shop, and tread this low can affect traction, braking, and control — especially in wet conditions.

When most people think about brake service, they think about the pads. Pads matter, but they are only one part of the braking system.

Brake fluid, rotors, calipers, hardware, and how the vehicle feels when stopping all help tell the full story.

A squeak, grind, pulse, pull, or soft brake pedal does not always mean the same repair is needed. It means the system should be looked at so the real issue can be found.
