PAT Cummins XCAL / HEX to BIN Converter software interface, used for converting custom diesel tuning files.

Overview

Software: PAT Cummins XCAL/HEX -> BIN Converter v1.0 by Performance Auto Technologies.

Purpose: Converts Cummins XCAL and Intel HEX (.hex, .ihex) tune files into standard or software-compatible binary formats.

Output Options Visible: EFI Live BIN (CM24xx/CM2350B), HP Tuners BIN (CM24xx/CM2350B), Bench BIN, Raw Flat BIN, and Separate Segment Files. [1, 2]

1. File Format Conversion

Input Files: It reads original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Cummins calibration files, which are usually distributed in .XCAL or standard Intel HEX (.hex / .ihex) formats.

Output Files: It un-pads, structures, and compiles that text-based or XML data into raw, unencrypted binary (** .BIN**) files. [1, 2]

2. Tuning Software Compatibility

Factory .xcal files cannot be read directly by third-party editing tools. This software processes the raw bytes so the file can be opened, modified, and saved inside popular tuning platforms. The "OUTPUT MODE" options visible in the dropdown show dedicated configurations for: [1, 2]
