Hey everyone, come see how nice our auto body repair and restoration shop looks with its new paint color. Many thanks to Steve and Ryan Seppala for doing this. Shop looks a million times better due to their hard work and dedication to family.

Also don't forget to oil your car in preparation for winter snow, ice, with salted and chemical products used on the major throughfares side streets, and roads. A small sq**rt of prevention is worth it in long and short run on your second big purchase after your home, condo, or apartment.

We had a considerable light winter this last year, but the salt, water, and debris still pe*****te into the metal parts of our cars, trucks, and SUV's. As many of you know, our vehicles are the second biggest investment we make today, after our residences. So, we have to keep them in good repair to make them last for as long as we can. You can rest assured that Tom and Rosemarie will make sure your vehicle will be back to original equipment manufacturer specifications. We believe in "Quality With Pride Of Workmanship" and we take it to heart with each repair we do for our customers, be it a out of pocket or an insurance paid claim. We work with all insurance companies. We do however charge $65.00 for mini tort claims for the last several years.

HI There Everyone,

Seppala's is now celebrating being 40 Years old, and we have accomplished this due to all of you, our customers who have patronized our business. It is that in combination with our "Quality With Pride Of workmanship" we did on each of your vehicles. Many, many thanks to all of our customers, we would not be here without you, and that trust has seen us through for all those 40 years and by the Grace Of God we will be still doing just that for the next 40 years.

We also would like to let everyone know we are still working for our customers safety first at Seppala's even while construction is going on at 648 Bridge St. N.W. for new Talbert Development Company 148 apartment building going up in former Duthler's Family Foods grocery store lot, located on our west/northwest wall of our autobody collision and restoration building.

So, if your vehicle is in need of repairs feel free to stop by the shop for estimate(s) from Old Man Winter's minor fender bender accidents, rust repair from the salt and water damage, to keep your vehicle and your second largest investment after your home.

We also would like to let you know we charge for Mini Tort estimates. which is when you are hit by someone else, and you are claiming the damage on the other persons insurance company. This is due to the time it takes to research in finding parts in junkyards, Hemming's Motor News, as it is time and money we can't recoup if the damage(s) which are not usually repaired due to age, slim to non-availability of parts for the repair.

Speaking of auto insurance companies, we do insurance repairs from collisions, accidental damage from hitting garage door opening, icy patches on the road/bridges, or from deer and other animal collisions. Please Stop in and see us at 645 Douglas Street N.W. Grand Rapids, Michigan 49504 Monday-Friday 10Am-5PM.

"Winter is going to be here before we know it, is the old saying. With that said, it is time to get started on getting your vehicle ready for winter too. By placing cardboard under the bottom/sill areas of your car or truck, then using an oil can with a small spigot oil the bottom of your doors, around any seams, trunk, hood, etc. this will pe*****te into your doors and where water and salt likes to seep into. Rust likes it when our vehicles are wet, damp, with salt or debris that likes to collect.

It's almost the middle of August and that means it is time to get your cherished classic out to cruise down to the parks, or 28th street to show them off. Of course, after a good wash, wax. Even your everyday driver needs a little TLC too. Fall is soon approaching and we all need to do this plus we all need to get our daily drivers ready for old man winter too with Dorthy's oil can for the door bottoms, hinges, fenders, wheel wells, under carriage sides, and trunk area too. Why? It is the best way to protect the second largest investment you have, and it will make the body last as long as you care to keep your vehicle, along with engine maintenance. The old saying is: If you take care of your vehicle, it will take care of you. See you soon in the parks and by ways, may you have a blessed day.

What does that mean? Time for a good wash and wax. Then placing cardboard pieces under it's rocker panels, aka the bottom of your doors, and along the rear quarters, trunk, the front fenders and across the front if there are any steel parts up there like the radiator support bottom section. All of these areas need to be oiled for best kind of prevention of rust, which in turn helps the body of your car doors and unibody not rust out in the long term.

With the cost of new or even used cars it is the best money spent in the long run to keep your vehicle pristine for as long as possible. If you can, let the oil set in your rocker panels, doors, fenders, trunk area, and quarter panels, overnight, then wipe up the excess, pull the cardboard pieces out, toss them into a plastic garbage bag as well so it doesn't hurt Mother Earth. It won't be long and baby it's going to be cold outside again.

Remember, if you have a crash, fender bender, or a ding in your door(s) come see Seppala's to have your car, truck or cycle repaired right. You can rely on Seppala's, we have been doing it right for over forty plus years, and will be happy to be of service to you, your family and friends as many of you have given us rave reviews and told everyone you know to go to Seppala's Body Shop & Restoration. Thank you for doing this, we appreciate your confidence you have placed with our business.

We will be starting our summer hours again This year, our hours will be Tuesday to Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM. We need to have some time off to enjoy our beautiful lakes, parks, and rivers to fish and dip our toes into too.
