🔧 Sometimes the only way to do it right… is to take it apart.

This 2005 Hummer H2 is undergoing a major brake system repair here at Grand Rapids Motorcar.

The brake lines running from the front to the rear of the vehicle need to be replaced, and on an H2, gaining proper access means separating the body from the frame.

Yep — the entire body comes off. 😳

It’s certainly not an everyday repair, but it’s a great example of what goes on behind the scenes when our technicians tackle larger, more complex jobs.

With the body removed, our team has the access needed to properly replace the brake lines front to back, inspect the surrounding components, and put everything back together correctly.
