🔹 2008 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition – Icy Blue Metallic 🔹

We recently had this beautiful 2008 Special Edition NC Miata come into the shop for a brand-new soft top!

What makes this car a little more unique is its rare Icy Blue Metallic exterior paired with the Special Edition dark brown convertible top. This particular top color isn’t advertised in Robbins’ regular catalog, but we were able to source the correct one for our customer and keep the car looking the way Mazda intended.

At Zoom Performance & Body Shop, we exclusively use Robbins convertible tops for our installations. One of the biggest reasons is the peace of mind that comes with their 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects and installation. When it comes to replacing a convertible top, we believe in doing it right the first time with a quality product.

And we don’t just replace tops on Miatas! We also offer convertible top replacement for Honda S2000s.

We’d like to invite all of our customers, friends, and fellow Miata enthusiasts to come out and be part of one of the biggest Miata gatherings in Texas!

Hosted by the Lone Star Miata Club, the 2026 Texas Miata Roundup will take place October 8–11 in Granbury, TX and will bring together Miata owners and enthusiasts for several days of driving, activities, and enjoying the community that makes these little cars so special.

✨ Another classic Miata back on the road and ready for many more miles! ✨

This beautiful 1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata 10th Anniversary Edition with only 64,000 original miles came to us with concerns of needing a clutch replacement. After a thorough inspection, we found the real culprit—a failing clutch master cylinder. The good news? Our customer avoided the expense of a full clutch job!

We replaced both the clutch master and slave cylinders to ensure reliable operation and used the savings to tackle some important preventative maintenance, including:

✅ Timing belt service
✅ Water pump replacement
✅ New radiator installation

And because we believe every Miata deserves to look as good as it drives, we finished things off with:

✨ Engine bay detail
✨ Interior deep clean
✨ Exterior hand wash

The Zoom Performance crew is spending the day at MSR Cresson putting in some laps, testing limits, and having a little fun doing what we love most—driving cars fast!

We recently had the opportunity to bring this beautiful 38k-mile 1991 British Racing Green Mazda Miata back to life with a full round of maintenance and restoration work.

We started with all of the important preventative maintenance to make sure this classic is ready for many more years on the road — timing belt, water pump, seals, heater hoses, radiator hoses, brand new radiator, and all fresh fluids throughout the car.

From there, we moved into restoration work. BRG Miatas are well known for having flaking and sticky interior trim over time, so we restored the dashboard along with the original Nardi shift k**b and wooden parking brake handle to preserve that factory look and feel.

The driver’s seat also had some bolster wear, which we repaired as carefully as possible while still maintaining the originality of the interior. We added a custom name plate in the center console ashtray and installed a removable phone holder setup that can be taken off later without damaging the dash.

To finish things off, we detailed the exterior paint and replaced the old tires — the previous set dated back to 2008!

No project is too big or too small for us. From maintenance to full restorations, we’re passionate about keeping Miatas on the road and looking their best.
