I realized I haven't posted anything in a while and that's because I've been so busy getting this '70 chevy K-10 fixed up and ready for some paint. People ask why paint jobs cost so much. It's because the foundation has to be prepped right or else everything else put on will eventually fail. The amount of hours it takes to do things right is hard to quote because you never know what you're going to find. Especially on older vehicles that someone else has worked on. Here is a prime example of what kind of chaos you may find when wanting a "paint job". What at first glance seems wouldn't be a whole lot of work ends up being months of work to ensure what you're spending the customers money on will last and be worth the cost in the end. If you want a cheap paint job I can almost guarantee it won't last and you will be upset when you realize going cheap ends up costing you a lot more in the end. Spend the extra money to have it done right the first time by a reputable shop or individual and save yourself stress and money in the end.
