Ten years ago today, we lost one of our founders and beloved family member, James āJimā Hinkle. Jim acquired the business, formerly a Sunoco station, alongside his wife, RoseAnn, in 1968, laying the foundation for what would become Jimās Auto Care.
Jim was an incredible automotive technician, a devoted father, grandfather, and husband, and an all-around remarkable human being. From volunteering as a firefighter to helping neighbors and customers get safely back on the road, Jim was always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed. Outside of the shop, he had a deep love for antique and classic cars, fishing, and, of course, going on Putt-Putt trips with his granddaughter.
Following his passing, funds were raised in his honor for the Grabill Volunteer Fire Department, a cause that reflected his lifelong commitment to serving others.
To this day, we strive to do what Jim would have done, carrying his values, work ethic, and care for the community forward into Jimās Auto Care 2.0. He will be deeply missed, but more importantly, he will always be remembered for the amazing man he was and the legacy he left behind.
Thank you, Jim, for everything you built, taught us, and continue to inspire everyday. ā¤ļø
