Whew wee buddy, 2025 was a year for sure!
We have a lot of new things to share with yall in the coming weeks, things that are going to make 26 phenomenal!!
Right now we are sharing project 25. It is completed and on the road again!
Back story is...
This is the third 6.7 powerstroke we had in for a locked up engine this year. The third client with bent push rods. This client allowed us to tear down and figure out the why.. long story short, we found the injection pump locked up, causing the crankshaft to spin on the gear, causing the pushrods to bend. With some research we found the crankshaft slipping on the gear to be a problem. Many have removed the gear and welded the gear to the shaft. Those who have done that, have only had a few teeth off. This motor was off more than 30 degrees. We pulled the heads off and had them repaired. Pulled the crank gear off. Heated the gear in the oven and once the engine was back in time, we had our local welder Evan Parrish come by and tig weld that gear to the shaft. New components and gaskets and this baby comes alive again. We are so happy to have come to the bottom of this problem and find a way to save this engine.
