Rust is a real enemy on these classic cars that Classic Restorations works on. 'Back in he day' vinyl tops were very popular on these cars. These tops were problemactic in that in time they tended to leak and water getting up under that vinyl was a haven for rust. These photos show the end result. We are going eradicate the rust by various means and install a new vinyl top.

🚁 Sometimes, one unforgettable experience leads to something even bigger.

Recently, Classic Restorations owner Mike Martin had the opportunity to take to the skies thanks to Pete Vozzo.

Pete is a member of the Mississippi Wing of the Commemorative Air Force and a pilot with the Bayou State Escadrille in Hammond, Louisiana, where he flies their iconic Bell 47 helicopter, instantly recognizable to generations of M*A*S*H fans.

After experiencing the helicopter ride, Mike knew he wanted to help make sure others had the opportunity to experience it too.

Classic Restorations is proud to sponsor the Bayou Belle’s return to Madison for Hangar Hangout on September 12 at the Mississippi Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.

For us, supporting the preservation of history, whether it has four wheels or rotor blades, it just makes sense.

Work progresses on this 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser. The rust is not bad but there is some and it must be eradicated. This entire truck has been media blasted to rid it of any rust. Toyota overbuilt these little trucks and many survive to this day because they are so tough. When we tried to pull out some dents on the body, the body sheet metal was so thick that normal methods of pulling out the dents did not work and we had to go to Plan B!
