Paint work continues on this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette. The hood and the removable hard top are getting some paint. The Corvette is going to be especially nice for a 60(!) year old vehicle.

Work is getting started on this 1963 Cadillac deVille 2 door hardtop. Classic Restorations is awaiting a custom chassis for this car and this big body will have to be modified some to fit on the chassis that has been fabricated by The Roadster Shop in Illinois and is due in soon. These photos show the big Cad after a priming with Epoxy primer which was applied after the body being media blasted top and bottom.

Classic Restorations is using our media blaster to media blast this 1963 Cadillac. We are to receive a custom chassis this week and we will modify the body to fit on this new, modern, "hot rod" frame which will have new suspension, steering, engine, transmission, and brakes. The photos showing the Cad inside our shop shows it all in blasted, bare metal. We will prime today. Rust is minimal.

These is much work necessary to get the final paint that Classic Restorations sprays. This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette has had much work done prior to this final paint. It is really slick and fine. Rally Red: same color as was sprayed when it was manufactured in 1965. Experts estimate that about 1/2 of the 1966 production run of 27,720 still exist but a sure number is impossible to know. A 50% survival rate would far exceed most other 1966 models. A Corvette such as this one would command a high resale price today.

Final work is being done on this 1966 Ford Mustang. The bottom of the Mustang has been coated with a bed liner material that looks much like the undercoating that came on it. the interior is sprayed with a ceramic insulation : Lizard Skin which is a great insulator. A bed liner is sprayed on top of that for protection.

This 1963 Cadillac body has been pulled from its frame and is awaiting a new custom made chassis from the Roadster Shop up in IIlinois. There was little rust on the car but a bit in the front right floor pan that we are cutting out and replacing. We will media blast all areas on the car that show any evidence of rust. Classic Restorations has a nice body rotisserie that allows the entire body to be turned for easy access to all panels.

Prep work continues on this 1966 Corvette convertible. Classic Restorations is painting the car. We have a good interior man and we are replacing all the interior fabrics. Joe the Upholstery Guy is also excellent on convertible tops and we are also replacing that. We have painted the convertible top frame.

Work is progressing on this gigantic 1963 Cadillac 2 door Sedan DeVille. A new chassis has been purchased from the Roadster Shop, which is located in Mundelein, Illinois. The Roadster Shop fabricates new chassis for these classic old vehicles that will incorporate new steering and suspension as well as new braking and will have a new modern engine and transmission. The chassis is being shipped to Classic Restorations this month (August '2026). We have pulled the body which will be modified to fit on the new chassis. The body will sit much lower than a stock body giving that low rider, hot rod look. The car is being built as a driver, one that the will be a long distance, dependable driver for the good owners.
