🇺🇸 Today we were honored to welcome the Glenwood Springs High School Air Force Junior ROTC program to the dealership to present their Community Partners donation. As our August Community Partner, they needed 100+ shares to unlock the maximum $3,500 donation from Glenwood Springs Ford.

You gave them more than 500 SHARES! 👏👏👏

That’s a record breaker for our Share More. Give More. campaign and an incredible show of support for this outstanding student led service program. Our community came together in a big way to raise awareness for these Cadets and the work they are doing at Glenwood Springs High School and throughout our community.

They gave us an unforgettable surprise 🇺🇸

The Glenwood Springs High School AFJROTC Color Guard honored Glenwood Springs Ford with a flag presentation. We were truly touched by this generous gesture and incredibly grateful for the honor.💙

It was a privilege to see these Cadets in action and learn more about a program that builds leadership, service, discipline and a strong commitment to community.

It started with a bit of weather, but a little faith went a long way and A Plate for a Purpose was a wonderful event. Together we raised more than $1,600 for the Rocky Mountain Walk to End Alzheimer’s. 👏

A heartfelt thank you to Nicole Randall with Edward Jones, for all the time and hard work she put into organizing this event. Thank you as well to every local business that donated in-kind, giveaway, and silent auction items. Your generosity helped make the evening special. *Please see the list of donors and sponsors below. We couldn’t have done this without them💜

And to the amazing team of volunteers who were setting up and working through the wind and rain, thank you. You kept everything moving and never lost sight of what the evening was about.

Then the sun came out, the clouds cleared and we were treated to a beautiful Colorado evening surrounded by good people and a great cause. We are so grateful for everyone who came out, donated, volunteered, and helped make A Plate for a Purpose such a success.

A little rain didn’t stop us from having a great day on the golf course ⛳️ Glenwood Springs Ford was proud to sponsor and happy to play in the Basalt Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament at the gorgeous Aspen Glen Club.

It was a great turnout of local folks coming together to support an organization that has been helping kids, families and neighbors across the Roaring Fork Valley for 68 years. Shoutout to event organizer, Sarah Woods and the Basalt Lions Club volunteers, to the Aspen Glen staff, the local businesses who supported the tournament, and everyone who came out to play.

💫 Our final August Community Partner post features the Dillon family, whose student cadets are home schooled and complete their classes online while participating in the Glenwood Springs High School Air Force Junior ROTC program.

We appreciate the Dillon family for sharing their experience and opening the conversation for other homeschooling families who may not know this opportunity is available to them. Glenwood Springs High School AFJROTC offers students the chance to develop leadership, discipline, teamwork and a commitment to service while being part of something bigger than themselves.
