We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair, with the ability to work on various makes and models, and have a passion for repairing vehicles correctly, not high production.
We repair vehicles per the manufacturer specifications, and want to ensure every repair is done consistent and correct.
This is a position that is paid hourly not commission.
This role involves repairing and maintaining vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. The Auto Body Technician will utilize a range of tools and techniques to fabricate parts, perform welding, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
* Taking photos of the damage and the complete vehicle.
* Performing pre-repair wash, inspection, scans, and documentation.
* Assess vehicle damage and determine the necessary repairs, additional damages, and parts after the teardown.
* Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, or replace damaged vehicle parts.
* Check in the repair parts to verify the correct parts and condition.
* Sand and prep parts for painting.
* Masking and prepping vehicles and parts for painting.
* Assemble vehicle parts after repairs are completed.
* Detail vehicles post-repair to ensure a high-quality finish.
* Perform post-repair inspection, scans, photos, and documentation.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
