Took a break from the fiberglass work. I will post more on that later.

This was something kustom I wanted to do. The stock door handles and latches are just plain and boring. When I originally had Chat make me a concept drawing from the images I fed it. it put some slim chrome handles on the doors.

Being an Aircooled VW guy, the 70's VW Bug handles are really well designed, sleek and just what I wanted. Installing them wasn't as easy as your store bought bolt on latch kit. It took some measuring to make sure it turned out right. In the end, the upgraded latches operate much smoother than any bearjaw latch out there.

The rest of the window frame had to be modified quite a bit to fit the new opening, Bit of cut and paste, I'm happy where this one is at now.

Still after it, just not a lot of fun pictures being taken.

Cut the "hood" in a few places to tighten up the gaps. Good in the middle around the cowl vent, but loose on the sides. Ended up doing this on both sides.

Cut the rear fender part off to get it to fit the cowl properly, ended up having to cut the side just repaired too to get everything where it's supposed to be.

Then I couldn't stand it, I had to pancake the hood section 3/4" in the front. Give it a wedge shape to go with the aggressive chop. Now it's too chilly here for any of the fiberglass to cure in a reasonable time.

I'm starting a whole new adventure here with KofA Kustom

The parts can live on if you want to take the kits to the next level. Willing to work with someone wanting to do it all, cutting, welding and sales. Willing to train someone... message me if you think you want to take it on.

I’ve struggled to get started again with the kits, I think I’m moving on with other ventures and I would like to sell the plans and fixturing for all the old products. Please message me…

Cut it up, glue it back together.

This beat up old Fairlane tilt front end has been through a lot. In order to close up the gaps and pushing the back of the fender into place took some cutting and Kitty Hair. Once it's all in place, I will have to build some structure inside to keep it from moving again.

Otter Lite is doing it's job. First big scan, I can make a lot of improvements, but no markers, no spray, just shiny metal, paint, dust etc.

I'm wanting to make some rub blocks to bolt to the cowl where the old fender would attach so that when the tilt hood opens and closes it doesn't destroy the paint. This works great for what I need right now.

I still have some work to do finishing the floor, which involves removing the cab from the chassis again. Also wanting to do something else for a bit. So doing repair work and fitting on this old Fairlane Fiberglass front end that was damaged in the accident, and has been sitting crooked on the wrecked cab for the last 17 years.

Small side project. Doing design and print work for a local customer. Upgrading his 3rd brake light to use LED strobe for his Tahoe.

Last weeks progress, not completely thrilled with it, but a bit of fine tuning and it will be acceptable
