To our wonderfully loyal customers,
Fifty years ago, our dad, Danny Gibson, began his career in the automobile industry at Peterson Buick, which would later become Bailey Gibson Buick, Pontiac, GMC. Marshall Bailey and Dad purchased the dealership and worked side by side building a business that would become an honest, trustworthy and reputable automobile dealership that our small town would rely on for years to come.
After many years of serving our community, Marshall retired in 2003. Our dad continued the legacy of Bailey Gibson’s excellent customer service and reliability for many years after.
As many of you know, he was a wonderful, irreplaceable husband, dad, “Dandy” and friend. Dad passed away after battling cancer in January 2025. He was a good man — a man of his word, a “straight shooter”, prankster, and was no stranger to hard work. Our mom, Mariam, was his ultimate supporter and the two of them were met with success as her support enabled him to do what he did so well.
When our hardworking leader of the family passed away, we knew that his shoes would be much too big for the three of us to fill, so as a family, and after much thought and prayer, we ultimately made the decision to close this chapter of our lives. We wish Don Franklin well and wish them continued success in our community.
Our family is eternally grateful for each and every employee who played a part in building the reputation Bailey Gibson upheld for so long. High standards and unmatched customer service were always a priority and we are certain that Bailey Gibson’s success can largely be attributed to the long standing, loyal men and women who worked so hard alongside Dad and previous owner and close family friend, Marshall Bailey.
To our customers - simply put, you are the best around. Please know that you are immensely appreciated and valued by our family. The stories Dad would share and the relationships that were built are etched in our hearts forever.
While we are sad to see this chapter of our lives and our dad’s life close, we want to say thank you to each and every person who walked through the doors of Bailey Gibson. Our family will forever be grateful for you. And as a tribute to Dad, we would love to hear your most memorable stories with him if you would like to share!
