Please keep Gibson City in your prayers as we begin to recover from the storm and devastating flood of August 12th. This storm effected EVERYONE ! We have to thank the 1st responders and volunteers who worked endlessly and undoubtedly saved lives , led by Adam Rosendahl (Police and Rescue), Bruce Kallal (Fire and Rescue), Jeremy Darnell (GCHS), Mike Allen (GCMS), City Mayor Dan Dickey, the City Council and so many others. I have to also give credit to WCIA and Meteorologist Jacob Dickey for their coverage. The whole town and surrounding areas, including Elliott, was flooded and many residents and businesses suffered flood damage, some minor, but most suffered severe damage. Many have lost everything and look to start all over again, including looking for housing ! The outpouring of help and supplies has been overwhelming, but we have a long road ahead ! Agencies are making damage assessments....Major clean up has begun. Groups are organizing to help. By the Grace of God, we at Load Redi did not suffer any flooding, so we are among a few businesses in town that were able to immediately re-open, as other businesses that had minor damage have re-opened as well. Thank you for your prayers for our community. God Bless you and keep you safe !
