German cars this week!

Did an interior and exterior for a Porsche on a nice 42 degree day. Finished with a 12-month Hybrid Ceramic spray coating as a topper.

Had an interior job on an Audi as well.

Special thanks to Ammo Frothe Hoseless Lift. It’s the only foaming waterless wash on the market and after endless hours of researching how to clean cars in the winter, Larry from Ammo who made this product for exotic cars he maintains really has something good here! It even smells like your car is at a beauty salon while you wash... If it’s good enough for rare Ferrari’s, it’s good enough for you! Look up “Winter Car Wash Ammo” on YouTube if you’re interested... Larry is the best!

The wheels need to be done the old fashioned way, of course but I have some tricks for that.

I have Tuesday 12/15 open for interior detail. (Too cold for exterior)

Here is a Porsche 911 Carerra S I did in October... The exterior got a paint enhancement and some scratches removed with a 12 month Ceramic spray coating. Paint is soft on Porsches so correction is easy with less aggressive products.

The interior of Porsches can be tricky if you want the trim and buttons to have that new, never touched glow... I’m happy to tell you my tricks or do it for you!

Still some time to get some winter protection on your paint. I finally have some openings!This Acura had bad hard water...

Still some time to get some winter protection on your paint. I finally have some openings!

This Acura had bad hard water spots from years of being hit by sprinklers and lots of dull, marred paint. Even after washing and clay decontamination the paint was very dull. A machine polish with microfiber and correction compound followed by a one step finishing polish/sealant really brought the finish back. I topped it with a hybrid ceramic topper to boost protection for winter. This was a full interior and exterior job and took years off of a really nice vehicle. I gave the owner tips on how to keep the leather nice as well.

BMW X5 Detail

Exterior paint was dull and covered in small scratches. Wheels had caked on brake dust. The interior looked pretty good, but there was a film on every surface as if it had been at the beach with the windows open.

The paint depth and clarity was greatly improved and many of the fine scratches came out. Hybrid ceramic wax will help the car stay clean for a while at a small fraction of the price of a semi permanent coating and also will correct paint defects by machine. The interior looked like new at the end...

Detailer’s Laundry Day... Microfiber Towels

To do a premium job you have to use good tools and have a system to use them properly..

My microfibers get washed after each use, downgraded as they become stained and less soft, and demoted to cleaning engines before being thrown out..

All towels are color coded because you’d never want to use a microfiber used to clean metallic brake dust last week on paint this week. Similarly you’d never use a premium, edgeless microfiber great for removing polish from paint on a dirty wheel... They get separated by type for the wash too, also very important!

-White, Yellow and Green are wheels, chrome, glass or interiors

-Blue, Red, Black are exterior waxing and detail sprays

-Red premium edgeless are for polishing paint

-Gray extra plush drying towels are for scratch free drying

Before microfiber towels in the 80s and 90s we had to use soft bath towels. It’s not much fun to do the laundry, but at least we have microfiber towels now to make everything safer for delicate surfaces, more efficient, and very cost effective!

Here’s a contact free Jeep picked up and returned at a place of business. It was pretty clean but just needed a little brightening up. The paint had a lot of oxidation, streaks and dullness from lack of protective coating. It was a noticeable improvement inside and out!

Big SUVs can take time... especially when they’re used on a farm! Contact free and now it’s clean!

Contact Free Exterior job on a Chrysler Pacifica! I did a two bucket wash, Quik Clay on some of the panels, one step machine polish and a hybrid sealant with carnauba... Paint looked deep and wet and most of the etched in water marks and light scratches were gone! Wheels and tires were cleaned and dressed as well as the exterior windows...

Contact free detail of a truck that needed a thorough detail. Lots of tools, umbrellas, window scrapers, and assorted other products I sorted into shopping bags and got to work! Clearly a work truck. The interior really had layers to get through. The exterior had some scratches and some came out with a quick polish, others down to the primer were less noticeable after. Sealed the paint with a synthetic blend wax.

Came out good!
