Smile, your on candid camera! Unbeknownst to me, my friend Wil took this picture as we were headed out on yesterday's two hour charter. The guests aboard have cruised with me several times before taking visiting friends to enjoy our beautiful river. They messaged me this morning saying, "We truly had a fabulous time yesterday!!" As always, it was a pleasure having them aboard.

Cruises on "Poor Dorothy" will continue until the end of October. This is some of the best cruising weather of the year! But people have asked what I do over the winter. This was and will be my winter "Home". Look at her name on the side of the boat. If you are in Sarasota area over the winter, stop by!

I spent the winter living on my boat in the Bayfront Mooring Field managed by Marina Jack in Sarasota, FL. The entire staff was amazing. I have worked in and stayed at marinas for 50 years and this is one of the best! Heads, showers and laundry facilities were excellent. Dillon, Andrew, Joe, Bills,....

We had to wait for the thunderstorms and rain to clear before we left the dock. But when we did, we had a beautiful cruise. Thanks to Eleanor for the great pictures.

Second charter this week. First was a family staying at the Kitty Knight House celebrating a birthday. On the way back in we saw a beautiful pair of eagles flying in front of us. Today was a family reminiscing about the time they spent growing up on the river and spending time at their parents' cottage in Betterton. Thank you to Eleanor for the pictures.

I thank my friend Eleanor for this video. It was taken this morning from their boat at Skipjack Cove Marina on the Sassafras River. Make sure you watch the entire video to see the dolphin. In my 50 years boating on the Sassafras, I have never seen dolphin so far up the river. Guess I will be running dolphin watching cruises!
